Found Dog in Country Lakes

I bet Christy stole that dog and is using this thread as a cover up. :twitch:

You know she is a supplier for cosmetic testing companies right? I bet the poor pooch is wearing guyliner and mascara as we speak. :ohwell:

What's a b*tch rocket? I've never heard that, and I would think if anyone had heard any version of b*tch, it would be me.

I made it up. It's a verbiage, not a descriptive noun. It's like you popped and spread little #####isms everywhere. *poof* You know, like going ballistic with a b*tchy re-entry. :)

And just for the record

I appreciated ICit's input and advice up until
but do more than post in the dang forum
the assumptions and arrogance in that statement crossed the line from being helpful to being rude.

I think I did my due diligence in doing what is necessary to find the dogs owner's. It is not my intent to hide the dog from them, nor do I feel like pointing fingers at them for being bad doggy owners. I don't think that is the case. He seems like a very happy, well adjusted dog and I am sure they are beside themselves because he is gone and I do hope they find a way to connect with me and come take him home. But if they don't they don't. He's happy and safe right where he is at.

If I were a lost animal, I would only hope that Christy (or Catt) would find me. They are the best animal mommy's ever. :yay:

I bet she couldn't wait to paint those long nails. I'm making a flier to alert the ASPCA right now!

You understand that since you had only posted that you had found a dog, that he was sweet, and that you would like to keep him up until that point, that ICit was not be unreasonable in trying to find out if you were doin anything to find the owners?

You didn't mention the sign, or trying anything else, until you posted your response to her:

Dear ICit, blow me. :moon:

You are more than welcome to come get the dog and do the leg work to find the owner. :yay:

I have a large sign at the top of my driveway stating that I've found a dog. I'm sorry, but I am not going out of my way to post flyers all over the neighborhood. It is not my duty to find the owners, it is the duty of the owners to look for their dog. And yes, I already have plans to have him checked for a chip. Again, not going out of my way to rush up to the vet to have him scanned. My other dog has an appointment this week and was going to bring him along.

You can sit there and speculate until the cows come home about how the dog wound up running up the middle of a busy street. It really doesn't matter to me one way or the other. It happens. If the owners find him fine, if they don't that is fine as well. I certainly won't be dropping him off at the pound.

It is absolutely ridiculous to turn this whole thing into some huge drama. There needn't be any. The dog is fine and if the owners are distraught and miss him, then they will put out the effort to find him.

You don't think that was way overly defensive and over the top? I can understand you being annoyed by someone assuming you were doing nothing to find the owner, but she was asking. She didn't say you hadn't, she was asking if you had, at least initially... then to get pissed off because somebody feels you should, when you hadn't even mentioned doing so?

Now of course, ICit is evil because she is not a mindreader. C'est la SOMD forums. :lmao:

Like I said, I had no problem with ICits suggestions and questions. I still don't. I have a problem with her rude statement. So yes, I think it is unreasonable for her to make that statement and start making her own assumptions. I'd have gladly responded nicely to her questions if it were not for the smart assery.

I didn't feel that I needed to mention any sign nor any calls I may have made. I figured any logical person would figure that if I have the wherewithal to post a missing dog thread in a local community forum for pets and animals, specifically related to dogs, that I might just have the couple more brain cells that it would take to get the word out through other means ya know?

For the record, I don't think ICit is evil, I think she is rude. And just like it isn't my job to find the owner's of this dog it is not my job to report back to you every nitnoid detail regarding my actions in finding the owner. It is not my responsibility to make you guys feel better or set your crazy ass minds at ease.

With my luck, I’d be snatched off the streets by a crazy man because I gave him a dirty look. Then, I’d be stuffed in a trunk to marinate in a mixture of crushed red peppers, chili pepper, salt and oil.
