Never ceases to amaze me that people will believe in a spirit world and then say they don't believe in God, or that they would choose to deal with demonic, evil, or unknown spirits rather than the Holy Spirit.
I don't believe in a "spirit world" per say. I do believe that life is an "energy source". I believe the scientific theory that energy never dies, that it is transferred and continues forever. I believe when a person dies, that energy force, that spark of life leaves the body. I believe that the majority of people only use a very small portion of their brain, and that some people are able to tap into use powers within the brain that are foreign to the rest of us. I can't explain what my sister is able to do. But that doesn't make it not so. :ohwell:

I never said any different. I also think it's pretty silly that the majority of religions focus back on one supreme being and some chose to call it God, some Budda, some Allah or whatever, but it never seems to click with the religious that gee.. maybe we are all focused on the same central thing and we really aren't that different after all... kumbaya.

Calling a coincidence in your life "God's timing" is presumptuous. You're going to hell.
Thank you for judging me. You may seal your own destination in eternity.

I do not believe in coincidence with God. He always provides our needs when we trust Him.

Posting scripture from the Bible and Biblical Truth to many if not most of those on SOMD is like trying to give Foie Gras and caviar to a wino. Most here show they do not have a taste for or appreciate it.

Where did she say she didn't believe in God, just because other aspects were brought up? Dam, all I can say is "twist the words, twist the words" and if someone doesn't agree with you on every aspect of "your" beliefs we are all non-believers.

Buddhism recognizes Jesus as a Buddha and Islam recognizes Jesus as a prophet although He is greater since He is God come as man.

And where does she says she does? You either do or you don't. There is no gray area.

You are not disagreeing with me. You are disagreeing with the Bible.

I believe the Bible was written by man as a form of law and rules to be used to control a population. It also allows for some men to deem themselves superior and over the general population. This is how society as we know it originated. Those that devised the rules and laws as laid out in the Bible were able to rule and lead the others. They were also able to apply judgement and subsequent punishment to those that disobeyed them. All forms of religion were created the same way and for the same reason... it was the earliest form of law and order and from which sprang society... a population guided and ruled.

ANd trying to inject a little sarcasm into SOMD forums garners the same reception a wino would give to goose liver.

Then why do you come into the Religion Forum where God and the Bible are discussed unless it is just to cause discontent. I accept that you don't believe in God or the Bible as His divine word. You don't have to convince me that you don't believe. Why come to discuss it unless you are not sure you don't believe?

I don't think that discussing God or the Bible is a place for sarcasm. Sarcasm is hard to perceive when face to face and is not discernible when there is no context of personalities; I do not know you and you do not know me and we are certainly not face to face.

*Note to self: lay off sarcasm.

(You know, the more obstinate and argumentative and pointing-it-out-itive you get, the more I go read read read... and I don;'t have the right Bible for a Catholic, so I'm already going to hell, no matter what's in it.... whoa, sarcasm, sorry.... )

I love to read and learn. I love to flex my mind and flesh out my thoughts and opinions. I learn alot by reading other peoples opinions and views. Just because I chose not to adhere to a particular religion does not mean I don't have the right to read or comment about it. The question of where I stand was raised. I answered the question. It was done plainly and with out flame. Don't make this into a flammatory thing.

If you hadn't gathered from my response to SmallTown in another thread, I don't care what Bible you read. I don't care if you read the apocryphal books. I don't believe they are the inspired word of God, but have at it if you wish. I just wish you would read your Bible if you have one. If you don't have one, I'll buy one for you if you will read it. So many people have Bibles and never open them. So many people say what the Bible says but have never read it. So many people say they don't believe in God, but God is the first name they call on for help when everything is going to hell around them.

I hope you get your wish and go back to N.J. Maybe you'll find a New Jersey On Line to play on.

Did I flame you? Show me where. I did not ask your belief or opinion about anything. I posted a quoted article that was sent to me shortly after someone on this board who is a believer PMed me about the subject. I was not looking for an argument. I do not like argument for argument sake as many around here appear to.

I didn't say you asked me anything. I said the question of where I stood was raised... I am referring to Prep taking offense to you making direct assuptions regarding my beliefs. You did ask me why I came into the religion forum and then implied I didn't belong here or didn't have the right to express my opinion and you implied I am just trying to cause discontent. You're implication that I'm only trying to start trouble turned the heat up a bit. I simply stated I have no intention of being a part of a flame war.

"Play on?" I'll turn the other cheek. Maybe you'd like to slap that one harder. Not everyone on here is as well versed in the Bible as you are, not everyone holds the same beleifs about that book, not everyone feels the same way about religion, but many of us beleive in God AND Jesus.

I have a damn Bible, and it is open in my lap now, to Matthew CHap 5, I was trying to catch up so I could join in your online Bible study on the other site, but if you are going to be as hardlined in there, on your own turf as you are here, then I will stick to my Watchtowers and my own reading and my own research. You and your words have nothing to do with my soul or salvation.

That's fine. It certainly seemed that your purpose was to attack.

I believe as I do and you believe as you do. I have said this numerous times. It is not my job to convince anyone. I am charged with the responsibility of proclaiming the gospel and the Truth of Gods word. Whether someone believes is between them and God.

Pardon me. Doesn't your line under your name say "I wanna go back to NJ"? or did I miss something?

I am glad you have a Bible. I hope it is not damned. I am hardlined when it comes to God's Word. I believe it is the divinely inspired word of God. If it is not, then it is just a collection of stories and is not worthy of study and there is no salvation.

You are absolutely right. My words have nothing to do with your salvation. Jesus did that for you and everyone who accepts Him.

I hope you will participate in the Bible Study. If anything I have posted turns you away, then I have failed not only you but God, and I am sorry. Forgive me.

No. Jesus is alive.
really! where does he live? whats his e-mail addy? are you drinking buddies?.....NO! HE IS DEAD! and so is mary/joseph/and all 3 wise men/ along with every single deciple/and a matter of fact....EVERY SINGLE PERSON MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE IS D-E-A-D!!
So then according to the demonic accusations that you have labled upon everyone that "communicates" you had better stop "PRAYING" to whoever you pray to because believe it or not.......YOU ARE TRYING TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE DEAD!
Ans if your "claim" that jesus is "alive" then he must be living through someone...i.e.(preacher/monk/whatever) if that is the case...then you have a "possesion" on your hands.
In my opinion...here is what is wrong with "christianity"......if it cant be explained......then it's "evil","wrong","demonic".
your mind is so closed that you have completely discarded the very gift that god gave to you.....
I really have no ill thoughts of you, as a matter of fact...i think you are admirable for standing firn for your belief's.....but i have noticed that a goo share of your post's reguarding religon are..."quoted" from someone, somewhere else.....
If you are going to be so headstrong in your beliefs.......at least use your own words from your own heart...
