Ghosts...

Yea, that one was good. Last night they were in a fort in Del. I think that I've seen every episode. Its my favorite show.

it is definately up there for me too, i like their approach to it, i like the fact that they are so scientific about everything. i believe in ghosts but at the same time i am a scientist at heart and want hard evidence to prove it. i have had some really crazy things happen to me when i was younger but i have no proof, so i will keep looking until i find some. but that will probably just make me want to keep going even more.

Is this it?
It's a shame they can't repurpose these buildings before they get into this shape.

the really bad thing about that place is that it is a government owned facility, and they patrol it all the time and they also have hidden cameras everywhere and if you get caught you go to jail for trespassing on government property and they hold you in jail for 3-4 days. now if someone can get legit legal visitation rights, i would be all over it.

back in the mid 80's when we would skip school we would go wonder through the buildings (also went a few times with a group in the early 90's to see if anything changed) it was rather scary after hearing the stories from the one boys mom about things that happened to patients there. i have always had a thing for abandoned homes and buildings. just always thought it was cool to try and figure out what happened there when it was a lively place. i cant remember anything strange happening, we did have to hide from security a few times. i remember hearing the land was family owned but the buildings were government the family just wanted to hold onto the land. but i do remember hearing that with all the tb and infectous cases that came through they didnt want to sell. its been a few years since i have been through that area but my mom says its the same just falling down

We would hear people walking thru the house and noone was home-- the steps would creek. one night I recall what sounded like banging on the ceiling but when my dad went to look it was nothing. You just had that cold feeling all the time in the house. I saw that glow quite a few times when we lived there. I think there was a sort of curse that went with anyone who lived in that house cuz seems like since we have my family has had bad luck after bad luck expierience and anyone who lived on that farm had the same feeling. Im not even sure if that house or whats left still stands-- if you go to 10th street in chesapeake beach you might see where it used to be but its back in a field WAY off the road. Id guesse its about a mile back off the road.. It was totalled last time i saw it- The fire took all we had --- Lemme know if you want to know where exactly it is LOL maybe you can get a scare from it.

The house is still there. If I'm thinking correctly, is there alot of 4-wheeler trails, or dirt bike trails back there? If that is where you are talking, it also had some smaller houses that were abandoned and were all brick. If you went exploring through the woods, there was an old barn with very old cars in there. We used to ride 4-wheelers there every weekend, and the farm used to be called Upper Bennett Farm. The only house that sat on the farm was burnt, but the frame is still there. Does this sound right? If not, that farm I'm sure has some stories to tell.

Anyone who is interested in ghost stories should get the book "Weird Maryland" at Borders. Very interesting and all about MD. St. Mary's Co. is in it a few times...mentions Indian Bridge Road and the crying baby at the bridge, the Legend of Molly Dyer, and Pt. Lookout. Other places in PG, very interesting and spooky.

I just went to Borders on my lunch break and bought it. It looks like its going to be a very interesting book to read. I cant wait to go home and start reading it.

I bought Weird Maryland when it first came out and have read excerpts from a few of the other books in the series..

It seems every place you go has a goat man or a bunny man :lmao:

A PG county street racing club put out a dvd that has a section at the end of video filmed inside the Glendale hospital. Pretty cool footage, but not nearly long enough.

Yes, you are right! We used to ride our ATV's there every weekend for hours on end. It was a very spooky place at night, because of all the old houses on the property, barns, cars, etc....

We had to stop riding there when they started the process of building those houses. Our old riding group has some stories about that place. Very creepy place! The thing that was weird to me is the smaller houses that were all over the property,(the ones all over the property) still had personal things in there. The old guy that was running the farm told us some stories about that farm.

The property is now owned by Marrick/Kaine. You can still get to the farm from the backside of Old Bayside Road, but you will have to walk down through the swamp area. I could show where it all is at, but I'm not sticking around to find out what happens! As for the old guy, Mr. Wrigley was his name. I think he is still living on the farm, but on the section where all the cows are. I can try to find out, but I can't promise you. It's been so long since we all had contact with him.

Someone suicided in my neighbors basement before they moved in there. My friend was in the basement a few nights ago and made contact with what seems to be the suicides ghost. Now we want to go in with a Ouija board or something. She's interested in having someone with more experience in these matters help us out. :coffee:

Unless you know what you are doing with a Ouija board--DO NOT MESS with it. You could open up something that you can't control. I have heard this from many spiritualists, hunters, etc. It can be very dangerous.

As most of you know, there are tons of ghost stories from here in SOMD. If you have any true ghost stories or even just strange unexplainable stories, I would love to hear them, and if I can, possibly investigate them for you if you would like. Tell me your stories.

Anyone know anything about the house in Hughesville on Huckleberry Drive?
