10 yrs ago..whats the statue of limitations? If I go to jail I want you to care for all my animals...not too many under 100 I promise... :huggy:

You have issues, call Mary Goldie at DNR, in Annapolis and ask her if you can keep a wild animal as a pet.
Ask about transporting across state line too.

You could have released him in an area that was "SAFE" for squirrels Paso, but I doubt you thought of that.

Better the squirrel died as hawk food than live in forced captivity for his entire life as a prisoner.

She wasn't holding a wild jackalope hostage, it was a squirrel. A well-loved and well-cared for squirrel. Better to be cared for in this manner than be flattened by a Ford Escort.

Don't you have something more important to do than harp on the care of a squirrel? You know....like pick the big stick out of your ass?

Guess it comes down to whether you choose to do the right thing or the wrong thing..in regards to anything.

Your choose your own path and live with the consequences.

If you choose to keep wildlife as a pet..then do so...and know that when DNR knocks on your door and that animal is taken away and euthanized, know you did the right thing by making a pet out of it, and you killed it.

Sleep well with your choices.

And "Paso" our paths have crossed..you just dont know it ;-)
