Just saw a pair hitting the feeder.

I put mine out yesterday.

I mean, there was a hummingbird on the feeder this AM!

When do them critters usaully show up to your feeders.
I put mine out yesterday My mixture is 4 cups of distilled water and 1 cup of sugar .

No shortage here, saw my 1st on Monday a week ago. Several on the feeder as I type.

The ratio is fine, 4-1, but don't use distilled.

I have one regular, a male.

I dont think it makes a difference,They only care about the sugar is what I think but I could be wrong as I have had my fedders out for 3 weeks now and nothing this is my first time and yes Ihave changed the nectar and washed them 1 time a week.

How do you have them hung? I use large threaded hooks in to the porch supports. Then I coat the first two inches of exposed hook with some axle grease. Ants don't get past that.

The feeders I use have little cups for water which kinda keeps most out, but I also spread ant killer around the pole base.

Oh - mostly we screw in hooks into the outer joists of our deck. But ants can be really determined.

I know, tried many things that worked for a little while and then needs reapplied. Grease will last all season and then a shop-rag cleans it off easy-peasy.

If there are flowers nearby, check there. That's where mine are.
