Vrai, I know you didn't mention anything about alcohol so I am not assuming anything ..
Anyway..
Alcoholic beverage can ruin one's diet easily. One shot equals approx. 400 calories. but the main thing is that the alcohol does something to the metabolism (mess it up) and numerous other things in your body. Drink water along with your diet, it will help quite a bit.

Just a thought..

True story. Even Atkins says that when you drink, you stop losing weight until the alcohol is out of your system. It doesn't stop ketosis, just puts it in remission until the alcohol is gone.

Right, any stimulants trigger the release of insulin thus stopping the fat burning process. Avoid caffeinated drinks also.... caffein does the same thing. Drink water only!!

I feel your pain. Just started my DIEt yesterday and am entering the "all food looks edible" phase. Makes me watch Iron Chef and think all that crap they're cooking looks good.
Even went out and bought special "fat burner" pills. They were selling them at the NEX and I figured "what the hey?" I get them home and take a closer look at the name and bottle...."genesis" brand with the fishy symbol on it.... they have a website.....OH HELL NO!! I DID NOT JUST BUY JESUS DIET PILLS effen serves me right....:twitch: Well, I guess that does make me lose my appetite.

I've found it easier to avoid "bad foods" if I view it as sustenance. Fuel the system and move on.

That's one of my problems when I diet. No such thing as bad food when you're hungry. That's how I started eating Mexican food 10 years ago, well, just the Salsa and chips.
I want to go work out at the gym on board but don't want to traipse my hinder from my berthing to the gym with witnesses. :yikes:

I refuse to go to the gym unless I look great. :ohwell: I picked up a couple of palati's cd's, that I haven't had time to look at yet, and I'd like to give yoga a whirl. All can be done in the privacy of my home.

Dear Jared,

Here's the deal: you are 6'2" and started out at 425 pounds. I'm 5'3" and go 140 (now 143 ). Of course you lost weight on Subway subs - you'd lose 10 pounds just rolling your butt out of bed.

And he still never managed to get contacts, or get his goofy-a$$ horse teeth fixed... :lmao:
(Subway must not be paying his so well.)

Saw an episode of Celebrity Fit Club on VH-1. Not even B list celebs but dang it if it wasn't a teensy bit motivational when I saw what the boombalattie comedian Ralphie May, looked like in the pool. :yikes: big time!

I love to go to the gym - I just hate driving to the gym. When we were in NY our hotel was attached to a state of the art gym that we had FREE access to. The daughter and I went every single morning to lift and crunch, then back in the evening to run.

I find the gym inspiring because there are always these hard body chicks that look great - I think, "I can BE that chick!!" so it motivates me to work out harder.

I like one of those fitness commercials where they talk about a guy (wonder who?) who ate subs all day and lost weight... But you don't see him on TV with his shirt off...

I hear that and I'm thinking "No!!! don't tempt him!!"

Can you imagine Pete if he saw that?? I picture Pete as dreyfuss towards the end of "What About Bob"... Sitting in a wheelchair, catatonic, pizzing all over himself... :lmao:
