I dont agree with your opinion, but you have every right to it.

To me the whole bunch are nutty as fruitcakes.

Your church can tell you to jump off the bridge, but it's still YOUR CHOICE whether you do so or not.
Yea, and if my church told me to do that, I'd be re-evaluating my association with that church which has nothing to do with my personal faith with God.

I don't believe Britain claims to be a "free" country, at least not the same way that the US does. Yes, they are much more "enlightened." But they don't make any claims about government not interfering in certain areas. Their government reserves the right to interfere whenever and in whatever they choose. In actual practice, they may not do it much, but public outrage at a "senseless" death....it wouldn't surprise me at all.

It is a religion that practices in the UK that the UK permitted to be there to practice.

Thus freedom of religion......the government has allowed them to practice...and has not shut them down...They have done nothing wrong..
Heck...they allow the druids to celebrate at Stonehenge....

I didnt say my faith wasnt lacking, I also wont say I would die for my faith when I really dont know ,and wont know until the time comes.

Nor will you despite your intolerance of my doubts.

No one knows what one will do unil the time comes.

Hopefully it never will for either of us.

i'm not the one being intolerant here.

I say her faith is good for her and yours is good for you.
I just asked why have religion if you are going to throw it by the wayside when you have doubts.

I'd take that with a grain of salt.

I read several untruths. For example: 9. There is no life after death (except for the 144,000). JW believe that only 144,000 will go to heaven, because it's stated in Revelations. They also believe that the 144,000 are probably already chosen, or at least almost complete, as there would have been people chosen before JW was an organization.

All others, in addition to the 144,000 that are chosen to go to heaven, will live on earth.

-A non-Witness is called "a worldly person" (we call them Muggles)
-A person who rejects the JW message is called a "goat" (we call believers Sheep so Goat works here)

Like I said, I know not all of them are like that. But they were more curious in what I believe than anything. At first they sort of pushed, but then they sat back and we had some really nice talks.

Yeah, I used to sit down almost every Saturday and talk to one Jehovah's Witness lady who came around the neighborhood. (I'm from Virginia too as I have mentioned before.) She would give her interpretation and I would give mine. It got to where when I saw Joan elsewhere we would greet each other like buddies! We respected each other's differences even though we never did convert each other.

She folllowed her FAITH...get it?
Her FAITH in her Lord, and His teachings over rode a Drs advise.
How was it avoidable?
Jesus did not have to die, his death was avoidable, but because of his faith, he died.

And why do kids volunteer for the military and go to war and die?

That is ia avoidable death. They did not HAVE to go and get killed.

But they had a deep faith in their beliefs of defending the freedom of others, and died because of their faith.
Folks don't join the military to die. They do so knowing there are risks but that's not the goal of joining the military.

how about abortion? how about heroin? Crack?

none of those were around in their current form when the bible was written, does that mean that your church doesn't preach against their use?
Abortion and mind altering drugs were around back then.
