But some people think it's OK that she died for her beliefs? She SACRIFICED her life for her God, her religion.. good on her??

You've got to be kidding right?

Does anyone else see the ancients, the midieval people sacrificing virgins for their Gods? Do you see the irony? We look back at History and say "OMG how stupid were these people?? Sacrificing their children so the God of the Volcano didn't wipe out their village.. or so they would appease the crops God and they'd get rain so they could eat next year.. " We look back and shake our heads at their ignorance, but the woman today should be proud for doing the EXACT same thing, just in a little different context..

She appeased her God by not letting the doctor's do a simple procedure that would save her life.. I don't see a difference between that and sacrificing a Virgin to the Dragon God so the Dragon would stay away..

No Jw's here...much of their doctrine is based on not allowing themselves to be corrupted by the evil in others.... hence the no blood transfusion thing. They might "catch" evil that way...But coming on here and reading the viewpoints of us evil heretics is just as bad.

Big difference, dude: terrorists and the Phelps people hurt others with their "beliefs". This woman hurt no one. You can't even say she hurt herself, because those who believe in an afterlife do not see death that way.

:confused: I don't know...but that also has to do with not creating a "graven image." Which is something a lot of religions have argued against.

I know you love these debates so please take a few minutes out to educate yourself on the religion that is being discussed so you may come back and bash their actual beliefs instead of just tossing stuff out there.

We can only read the last page of it. I have mine set to 40 posts per page. I was reading on page 3 of 3 and when it went over to page 4, I can no longer go back and read the last couple of posts on page 3. I never saw pages 1 or 2 at all.

They take pictures.

They don't believe in worshipping idols. This includes religious statuary of Jesus, Mary, etc.
