Can I go, can I can I??

I Got the bike back together this afternoon.. FOUND an extra horn that was obstructing my steering to the left, and the lights are hooked up.

In the process of running the wiring for my lights I checked the stop to stop steering to make sure .. and sure enough there was a problem.. the prior owner must of felt the need for second horn and instead of mounting it, he wired it, and stuffed it under the cowling.. never noticed it, but was missing about 3 inches of travel to the left.. ALL Fixed now, and mounted properly..
ready to ride..

Sure but you have to stay at least 20 feet behind me on that ugly piece of supeeeeeor german eengeeneering Daaa. :lol:

If I can go it will be Sunday AM and it will not be that long a ride.

You had something obstructing 3 inches of travel turning left and you just now noticed it? How be this? :twitch:

It's been in there since I bought it, since I took it for a test drive, so I THOUGHT I had normal steering clearances.. Now I just have a LOT more!!

Not sure about the 3 inches.. could have been more like 1.5 or 2.. didn't go out and measure it. Was so dumbfounded didn't even take a picture of it, but did get one of the two horns mounted in a more friendly place

Actually if you've driven a standard shouldn't be TOO bad.. and I take it hubby rides.. (course spouses make the WORST instructors).. SO you joining us for the Sunday ride??

I'd say my place (EASY to find) and about 9 AM.. how long a ride does everyone want to go on?? I bought a book, "Great Roads, Great Rides" and there are a LOT of nice rides in there, but I think the shortest is over 100 miles.

Sorry, I'm not quite up to a group ride yet. I just got in from my very first ride! I'm still trying to learn to start off...I'll stall it occasionally (occasionally meaning about half the time). I'll probably get back on and ride around the neighborhood a little more this afternoon.

Kool that you recognize that fact.. if ya want we can ride over your way.. see the haps, maybe a few pointers, see how you are doing.

IF we had done a group ride would have put you in the lead, don't want anyone riding beyond their abilities trying to keep up!!
