His sister just called me out of the blue. Apparently he was driving through Frederick (lives in VA) and got pulled over for improper display of a license plate or something. Showed up as having an outstanding warrant so they took him in. He can't leave until he pays $9k, which is about 3/4 what he owes. :killingme I don't know what he expects me to do, he failed to return adoption paperwork I sent him a year ago, and I've never called social services to complain about the non-payment. I hope he likes his jumpsuit. :roflmao:

We are alomst in the same boat, however they cant find my ex to put him in jail he keeps running and running, was in Texas and now who knows where he is... Ohh, beside when I let my son go visit his grandparents to find out Brad came over to see him... I hit the fan!!!! The judge doesnt want Brad no where around him.... because of his drug issue's...

:yeahthat: Always a check with Child Support in the memo line. If you need to go to court the bank will run you off a copie of the canceled checks.
Or have the payments withheld through your employer. It doesn't cost anything and you won't have to write any checks. Everything will be taken care of and you will have a record of each transaction. :yay:

Oh, my ex isn't a drug addict, he's just shady and gets paid under the table to avoid paying child support. He's not a part of our lives, thus my shock at finding out he's in jail after no contact from them for going on a year, and the irony of reading this thread at the moment I got the phone call. :roflmao:

That sounds like an issue to take up with the GPs.

I've never understood why some guys think it's a good idea to run away from their kids. You can't EVER own anything or have a life and it's not like you're some kind of outlaw, just a smuck that won't grow up and be a man.

That's what I do, seems to avoid the resentment of writing the ex's name on a check every couple of weeks.

You can call him any name in the book because that is your choice. I just hope that you don't respond negatively towards him to your child(ren).

My son doesnt even know who Brad is... Hasnt seen him since he was 4 months old... Brad has been running from the law since our son was 5 months old.... My son thinks my new hubby( whos been in his life since 10 months old is Daddy and it will stay that way UNTIL he's older)

If I ever got a divorce I would just flea to the homeland(Mexico) and sip margaritas on the beach all day long.

Question: Say ex has her Mother and father living with her (who are both retired but have plenty of money) Does this come into play on household income? When trying to determine how much CS father should pay?

I would not think so.

No. The biological mother and father and their income is the only thing that matters.
