I only stated my opinions as it urks the living hell out of me to see people biatching about having to pay $ to benefit their kids.

Seems to me they weren't #####ing about paying, they were #####ing about somebody else NOT paying.

Have you ever been a divorced parent? If not, then YOU piss off. :smack:

I'm not a divorced parent, so I won't try to speak to those issues. What I CAN say, having been a daddy for a year now, is that fathers are always presumed to be the inferior parent. By both men and women. I've had many people question my ability to take care of my daughter, and even some friends who should have known better have been surprised at my willingness and ability to do so.

So I'm not divorced, but I can understand where the anger is coming from with these men.

Unfortunately, some of these angry men are telling little stories, or at least not giving the *whole* story. And THEY are what creates the stereotype of inept, uninvolved fathers that taints the rest of you.

I can only imagine the story my ex would tell...

You're right; stereotypes don't pop out of thin air, so I'm sure that not everybody with a gripe is telling the whole truth. Still, the term "deadbeat" gets launched pretty damn quickly on this board, even when somebody prefaces their gripe with "I PAID ALL MY CS"

Yea, my girlfriends ex has all of his friends and some of hers convinced that he is all caught up with his child support payments and that she won't allow him to see or speak to his kids. :blahblah:

Truth is, he hasn't paid a dime, ever. And he hasn't made an effort to see the kids, and when he calls, the kids run, not wanting to talk to him cuz he's such a dayum psycho on the phone with them.

For thos of you wanting to try to calculate what you CS payment will be, or how the state calculates it, try this...

Well that settles that then.
Non custodial parents are all liars as well as deadbeats.

I did the worksheet.

It turns out that should there ever come a time when Mrs. Toxick and I end up going our separate ways, I could easily afford the calculated payments, and still have money to get that GPS receiver that I've had my eye on.

In fact, barring alimony, it might even be cheaper if ....

... nah - I love my baby-mama.

I'm also wondering if there are other factors that aren't taken into account with this calculator. One of my closest friends would literally be living in a cardboard box (or even worse... in my house) if his fiancee wasn't helping him along.

And I, as well as his fiancee, have been telling him to fire his effing lawyer and go back. He won't do it - he's convinced that he's supposed to live like that.

Personally, I think his ex blew his lawyer.
