Great to hear! Thank you.

I was glad to help out, thanks. Kids are lovin her and she seems really sweet. Just has to get use to all the attention, she's a little shy. When I took her to the groomer I was informed she is about 4 wks along. I went out last night looking for some good suppliments for her but I need to call the vet to see what's best.

I took the chocolate one and two friends took the other two. They were not in the best of shape but we'll fix that up.
I can only imagine what shape that they were in. Not gonna say any more then that. Good job on taking one and checking on the other two and for getting them all the medical attention that they need and deserve. :huggy:

The puppies are not listed on their site yet but were all spayed and neutered on Friday and ready for new homes. The little black female looks identical to a pure lab and so does one of the yellow/white girls. They were there on Saturday for adoption and will be again this Saturday. Check them out if you get a chance.
Thanks! I will. I didnt get a chance to go last saturday.

One thing I can say is I do commend the girl who owned these dogs for realizing she was over her head and not able to care for them as they deserved. Not that she admitted that directly but that's the feeling I got. Some people would have just allowed them to suffer more.

Just feed her a good quality puppy food prior to the pups birth, and when they are born, start her on some cottage cheese. That will be great for her. good luck!!

Yes....very true. Often my dad reminds me that not everyone does with their animals the same as I do and not everyone sees things the same. Which I know but sometimes need to be reminded of :buttkick: Things in life do become overwhelming and it was good that she realized it for the best benefit of all the dogs.

it's a natural form of very good, easily absorbable calcium, and the mother won't get eclampsia or issues with their kidneys if you forget to give it. Plus they LIKE it

Been almost one week with Morgan, chocolate lab and she still has the "runs", I think I've tried most things to give her to help her, any other home remedies??

Have you dewormed her? What kind of food is she on? I would give her rice and hamburger for a few days to let her stomach settle, then slowly re-introduce her to food. Are you feeding the same thing her previous owners were giving her? She's under alot of stress too...

I dewormed her Mon. and will do it again in two weeks. I am giving her Iams puppy food with puppy rice/lamb mixed in and then I have cooked rice to add in with that mix. I'm not sure what the previous owner fed her other then to say she didn't get fed much, she was really underweight.

Iams isn't a very good food. I'd get her on a better quality food. You can add canned pumpkin or sweet potato to firm up her stools. Has she been vetted? She may have other issues like coccidia..but the meds for that can sometimes cause problems with unborn pups.

She has been to the doc. I personally don't like the Iams but that is what I was recommended to get due to it's protein content. What would be better? I know my other dogs don't care for the taste of the Iams. I thought pumpkin was for laxitive/fiber purpose, guess I had that backwards.

I feed human grade. I like the California Natural and I give fish oil, vitamin e and vitamin c and yogurt with their food. She could have a problem with corn. Did the vet check her for coccidia? If get was drinking dirty water, she could have come in contact with it. It's not that hard to contract but a pain to get rid of.

I'll have to call them and ask if they checked for that. Where do you purchase the feed you use? The water and living conditions she was in was flithy so I imagine drinking water was the same.
