yes.... always helps to keep an eye on her afterwards.. makes sure the meds are doing what they should.

call me if you need anything... or have questions... I can come by and check her out if you get worried about anything...

If you can stay home with her, I would. The first 24 hours after a Surgery are critical.

most surgeries... :yay:

... I worry more on her taking meds, meds not making her sick, her eating, not vomiting

This dog LOVES to eat. Actually meds are never a problem. I just say the word "cookie" and throw it at her lol. She thinks they are treats :) I know I wont be "THROWING" them at her but I'm hoping its still that easy. Should I keep her locked in the room with me? I have other dogs in the house.

limited activity... no running, jumping, climbing steps, ... no playing with housemates. Leash walk to go potty and return for cuddle time with mom!

I have always kept mine apart when something is going on. :flowers:

She had a very very rough night last night. Poor girl cried all night long. Here is a pic of her incision. ITS HUGE. The next picture is her in her daddies Tshirt. We got a hint from a nice tech that said to do this instead of the E collar because its much more cozy for her :)

Thanks for all of the support.

I know you have been so worried about your dog...I hope she heals quickly and does well...our 14 year old German Shepherd/Husky, Cookie, died suddenly on Jan. 6th of this year...a tumor in her belly burst that no one knew was there...she was happy and acting normal...on that day I took her out for a walk...came back in...gave treat...next thing we knew she tried to get up and couldn't..immediately took her to her doc..took xray and immediately put her down...very traumatizing...still not over it....we still have her buddy Greyhound/Lab, Oreo, who has been in decline since October..at least we are expecting her loss...still doesnt't make it easy...got them together @ Tri County Shelter when they were 2 mos. old...sorry but it helps for me to talk about it...I hope your lovee does really well...our pets are like children to us...I understand your fears and worries...I will check back on this thread to view her progress...

:huggy: So sorry to hear about your 4legged child. We lost our girl in November of last year, after 18 years together. Still miss her so much. We got her from the Tricounty when she was 8 weeks old.
