Mast Cell Tumor - Boxer

Actually you want to take wide margins in the surgery..to get as much tissue removed to be certain all of the cancer was removed. Sometimes the location of the tumor prevents getting wide margins.

Biscuit's tumor was the size of a 50 cent piece. The surgeon cut him and removed tissue 6 cm deep and out 3 cm diameter from the tumor. You can see in the picture how large his incision was just for a fairly small tumor.

why are there 2 different incisions?

Laila gets her stitches and staples out today!!! She can now return to a normal life!

As long as that bump on her head isnt cancer! keep your fingers and toes crossed!!

Just a little happy FYI

Laila got her stitches and staples out. She is officially allowed to return to normal activities including running with her mama.. although she has to start slow :)

All of the cancer is gone and now we just hope that the little bump on her head doesnt get bigger (its not on the skin like the last one) and pray no more bumps show up!

We saved my little baby! :cartwheel
