:huggy: So sorry to hear about your 4legged child. We lost our girl in November of last year, after 18 years together. Still miss her so much. We got her from the Tricounty when she was 8 weeks old.

18 years...wow!...I know the void their passing leaves...Oreo and Cookie would alternate barking every nite when I was fixing their din..even tho Oreo is blind and deaf now...she knows when I am fixing her din and she barks...and then I hear Cookie bark...even tho she's gone...Pet's are so dear...huggy for you too:huggy:

Well my little girl got a little infection yesterday so we took her to the doc and they gave her some meds. We woke up this morning and she had popped her stitches so she is back at the doc today getting staples. The doc said that this is pretty common because of where the stitches are. its a "high active" area.
I feel so bad for my little girl I hate crying over her like this but I just want her to feel better!!

You two have been through so much lately. I hope the staples do the trick for her. Give her a kiss from us!! We are thinking of her.

With Humans, it's usually a week to ten days to get the Biopsy Results. Not sure about Critters. Thanks for keeping us informed of her progress.

It's been a while since you posted about your pup. I'm sure you've gotten the Biopsy Results by now, and am hoping if by a small chance..it was NOT Cancer. Let us know how she is doing.

I was wondering how she was doing, too?

strangely I just got them. Its Stage II cancer. there were Narrow margins:( but that being said she gets her staples and stitches completely out on FRIDAY! and we can remove the cone that has been duct taped together twice lol (shes is ghetto fab for sure) and she can come out of her kennel when we cant watch her :) and finally play with my other dog again and go for walks.

Basically its a sit and wait game from here. we COULD do radiation or more surgery to remove the rest of it...

what would you do? ( I hope pixie reads this )

I'm going to the docs on fri so we will discuss it then.

I also feel a little tiny lump on her head. It was there 6 months ago and then it was gone. now its back. Its scaring me!!!

It's hard to say what I would do in your situation, but if my finances were in good shape, I would do what ever it takes, within reason. I would have the Doc look at the bump, but in all probability..it could be something as simple as a Simple Fatty Cyst, so try to keep your fears in check, or it will drive you crazy, like it did me when I had Cancer. Thank you for letting us know what's going on with her, as I know that we all think of her often. Stage Two is low on the spectrum of grading a tumor, and that's a GOOD thing!

I really appreciate you asking. You have no idea how much that means to me. what scares me is that its narrow margins which means its still there. The size if the incision was amazing.. how much more could be in there??!?!

The good thing is that narrow margins means that they got the tumor out. If there are no margins seen, that means they have to go in a dig out more. At least with Humans, that's the way it is. With my second episode with Cancer, the pathology Report came back "No margins seen", which meant I had to have MORE surgery.

I'm confused I thought that narrow margins meant that there was still cancer present.

Actually you want to take wide margins in the surgery..to get as much tissue removed to be certain all of the cancer was removed. Sometimes the location of the tumor prevents getting wide margins.

Biscuit's tumor was the size of a 50 cent piece. The surgeon cut him and removed tissue 6 cm deep and out 3 cm diameter from the tumor. You can see in the picture how large his incision was just for a fairly small tumor.

WOW!! Did you see Lailas?

Its amazing how much they cut. I'm goign back there on Friday so I'll have to ask her again about what the diagnosis was. She left a message while she was on vacation (which i thought was really nice) but I couldnt not call her back
