ESPN fires MLB reporter Marly Rivera for calling fellow reporter ‘f–king c–t’

Rivera had been a dugout reporter on the Home Run Derby, some “Sunday Night Baseball” telecasts and is an ESPN Radio MLB playoff game analyst.

Bilingual, she brought a different perspective to the telecasts; especially when speaking to Latin players.

She also wrote for ESPN’s digital platforms.

“She no longer works here,” ESPN told The Post in a statement.

The incident occurred last Tuesday at Yankee Stadium.

Before the Yankees-Angels game, Rivera and fellow reporter Ivón Gaete had a disagreement when Gaete arrived in an attempt to also interview

🔥 Human Events ran a fun opinion piece over the weekend mocking the Associated Press with the headline, “Associated Press—who used capitol riot to redefine ‘insurrection’—now OUTRAGED by GOP calling state capitol riots ‘insurrections’.”

Conservative writer and playwright Libby Emmons has a problem with how the Associated Press can’t make up its mind about what the word “insurrection” means. The news giant waffles back and forth, like a man visiting China for the first time desperately trying to figure out which one is the men’s bathroom.

What has brought things to a confusing head are all the violent trans protests in the Tennessee and Montana Houses of Representatives, where oversized activists wearing size-10 spike heels and plus-sized cocktail wear rushed the galleries and had to be physically removed by outnumbered riot police.

The latest problem arises because, back on January 14, 2021, the Associated Press “updated” its long-standing definition of “insurrection” in order to better match the event of January 6th. Before J6, the AP defined “insurrection” using the long-standing 18th century definition: “a violent uprising that targets government authority.” But that didn’t seem quite right, since it sort of ruled out calling J6 an insurrection, so diligent AP editors — always striving for truth and justice — tweaked the word’s meaning. Just a smidge or skosh.

So in early 2021, the AP’s editors somberly announced, in order to fit in better with 21st-century ideals, an “insurrection” was now — officially (according to the AP) — an “an act or instance of revolting against civil authorities or an established government.”

No uprising needed!

See how it works? Those devilish J6 MAGA Trumpites weren’t just ordinary protestors, no, they were INSURRECTORS! We just updated the meaning! And so, for the last 2+ years we’ve gotten an earache listening to deadpan news anchors ignorantly describing the events of January 6th as “an insurrection,” over and over and over.

But now the AP is shocked, shocked and appalled, that conservatives would dare compare the violent clashes between clown-wigged, BLM-masked trans protestors fighting riot police IN THE MONTANA HOUSE GALLERY to the much more serious and civilization-shattering events that unfurled when some conservative rally-goers quietly strolled through the Capitol rotunda.

It’s an outrage. Here’s how the AP expressed their concern and dismay over the misuse of their own newly-redefined word:

No One Cared About Jordan Neely's Life. They Just Want to Use His Death | Opinion

One thing I've learned as an adult is that people who actually care about someone don't let them continually fail. Instead, they address that person's problems head-on, because people who care actually want you to succeed, and success often requires course correction.

Progressives are currently beset by a sick reversal of that, where no one is willing to address the root problems of the people they claim to care about, because the people who are failing in our society are more suitable as political pawns and social commodities to exploit for attention and donations.

Instead of addressing real problems like mental illness, violence, crime, and homelessness, progressives are normalizing these things, gaslighting people who call them out as unacceptable, and denouncing any attempts to truly rectify the problems that have our cities in a stranglehold. And they do it all in the name of compassion.

This phenomenon has been on full display in the Left's response to the sad killing of Jordan Neely this week. Neely was a homeless man with a long history of arrests who was suffering from extreme mental illness. Neely tragically died while being restrained in a chokehold by a passenger on the subway after Neely was aggressively screaming at passengers, per witnesses.

NPR Claims Elon Musk Blocked Its Content, Then the Comedy Ensued

In a recent report, Allyn details that Elon Musk reached out to see if NPR was going to become active on the site again, and if not he proposed another option. Unbidden, Allyn stated that Musk sent him an email about the status of the outlet on Twitter.

In an unprompted Tuesday email, Musk wrote: “So is NPR going to start posting on Twitter again, or should we reassign @NPR to another company?

After some angry typing, Bobby Allyn went to Twitter to share his report, and this is when things take a comedic turn. After an attempt at posting his article, Allyn sent out another series of posts as he made a new proclamation about Musk.

The Lesson Of Jordan Neely: Your Courage And Sacrifice Will Be Punished

“‘I don’t mind going to jail and getting life in prison,’ screamed the 30-year-old Jordan Neely, who had 44 arrests under his belt and an outstanding warrant for felony assault (he punched an old woman in the face), as he flailed around throwing items of his clothing. ‘I’m ready to die!’ In response, a 24-year-old Marine Corps veteran put Neely in a chokehold, incapacitating him and releasing him after he stopped struggling and passed out,” Inez Stepman wrote.

When Neely died at the hospital, all hell broke loose.

This is not the first time a courageous man minding his own business has put himself in danger to protect others. It’s happened many times, in fact. Toxic masculinity has saved more lives than penicillin.

But in this case, the erratic lunatic was black, the courageous restrainer was not just white but blond and handsome, and worst of all: the lunatic shuffled off this mortal coil when he arrived at the hospital.

Inevitably, the left’s muscle memory of how politically lucrative George Floyd’s 2020 death was for them kicked in. The Floyd Playbook could be run!

AOC fired up her Twitter and called his death a “murder.” Al Sharpton is polishing his diamond cufflinks before his press conference. Neely’s cousins are getting fitted for new suits before their Oval Office visit. Nancy Pelosi has already ordered the solid gold casket and white horse-drawn carriage for the funeral, which will be held after Neely lies in state in the Capitol. Kente cloth scarves are being passed out in the Old Executive Office Building. Kamala Harris’s speechwriter is ripping nitrous balloons as he crafts her eulogy. The whole band is getting back together!

By all accounts Neely was belligerent and threatening. How many times have you seen a viral video of some crazy person threatening people and thought, “Why doesn’t someone do something?” This is why – Democrats will call for your death, essentially. It doesn’t matter how many people you saved – and who cares if Neely wasn’t serious about his threats or he was only making them because he had mental health issues, mental health issues are not a get out of responsibility free card at the moment threats are being made. That someone “would never hurt anyone” is not tattooed on their forehead as they’re literally threatening to hurt people. At the moment, you have no choice but to take that person at their word.

But the deification of Neely continues. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), a noted race-baiter himself, tweeted out, “Black men seem to always be choked to death. Jordan Neely did not have to die. It’s as simple as that. Yet we have another black man publicly executed.” How many black people have been killed in Bowman’s district this year? Think it’s more than one? Think he whines like a baby hoping to raise money off those deaths or do you think he maybe goes so far as to issue a statement, sometimes, and moves on? Can’t fundraise off that.

How many Blacks are shot and killed on Chicago streets any given weekend, where is the concern for them

Yes, today is Cinco de Mayo, a rather contrived holiday that most of Mexico does not celebrate, but Americans, restaurants, and liquor companies recognize. It seemed certain there would have to be a lecture out there on the "proper" way to celebrate, and sure enough, we get a lecture from Krys'tal Griffin of The News Journal:

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo can be a fun celebration for people of all backgrounds, but it is important to recognize that commemorating Mexican culture and heritage — the true meaning of the holiday — is very different than culturally appropriating it. Cultural appropriation in relation to a holiday like Cinco de Mayo includes wearing a sombrero or other Mexican cultural garb in a way that mocks or is a caricature of those with Mexican heritage, mimicking stereotypes of Mexican people or contributing to prejudice against those of Mexican descent in any way.

I'm sure she feels better having gotten that sermon out to the public so everyone will behave accordingly. Meanwhile, I will disregard the hectoring and behave as my usual loco self.
