The ribs at Leonardtown Grille are great, and the ones I had at Retriever's last week were better than L'Town Grille.

I love both places! I'm not a big rib fan so haven't tried those; however, both have a ribeye steak that makes me drool! :yum:

We are at Retrievers right now.

Good food and good people. It's nice to walk into a place where they actually remember your name and are genuinely happy to see you. :yay:

I am so very blessed
a Saint does not brag about his charitable works

As far as I know, they've never claimed to be a Saint, nor were they recommended for Sainthood. They are a business, in the business of making money in exchange for a product.

I have no problem with them using their generosity to promote their business.

I look for the chinese restaurant that has cats hanging around the dumpster. Then I know the food is fresh, not frozen. :yum:

So for all you "I don't eat a chain restaurant" people yes you do eat at chains, your just too stupid to know it.

I wish we had the ability to look in the kitchen prior to ordering.. when I order shrimp I really expect a RESTAURANT to have shrimp on hand and they bread them there.. not take frozen shrimp and reheat them. I can do that at home. What makes a restaurant a restaurant ? Cooking frozen pre-prepard food that is being delivered to every other restaurant isn't it

Mission gets a thumbs up from Mine and myself.

Ribs, brisket, various sides and sauces tried and liked.

We will definitely go back when the mood strikes.

I assume you mean thawed, cooked, breaded, then frozen, as opposed to thawed, breaded and cooked in the restaurant.

Every shrimp you get, whether in the store or restaurant, has been cleaned and frozen right on the boat, unless you live on the Gulf coast, you might get some fresh off the boat, but not here.

When I worked in a grocery store meat and seafood section we would put out the small $4.99/lb shrimp frozen but the more expensive stuff we would let thaw in the refrigerated cooler and people actually thought it was fresh. They also paid $8.99 a lb for crab spread made with imitation crab meat.

You people need hobbies. :lmao:

We tried Mission today, I thought it was pretty good. Not the best BBQ I've ever had, but it was good enough to warrant some future visits, plus the staff was friendly, good service, and the restaurant was clean.

Plus - they had Natty Boh. [/thread]
