In this instance, who should be validating the eligibility?

Let me ask a hypothetical question. Let's assume that everything is exactly the same as it is today with the exception that Obama never put a copy of anything (i.e., COLB) on his website, nor has allowed anyone to see/verify/validate anything. And his only response is basically saying "trust me, I'm legit"...would you accept that as proof for him to be eligible?

I would treat his eligibility as I would anybody's.

I would assume that somebody has checked it. Or he has previously proven it.

How do we know Reagan was eleigible? Or GHW Bush? Or Dubya? Or anyone?

Did ANYBODY pass around their original Birth Certificate and run it through the gamut of authenticity???


Or is this because Obama's...well...."different"?

This article calls the effort to have Bracko bama produce a valid certificate a whispering campaign.

WHO IS WHISPERING? Its being shouted all over , its not a whispering campaign at all ,but the shouts are being muffled by a media that ignores the public outcry because they elected this man and they are determind to see him seated.

The article mentions the thousands that Obama is spending to avoid producing a document he claims to have. Why? Not one of the media has asked why he will not produce the document. The article speaks of no one having standing.

Who has standing in this case. ? Every American should have standing. It affects every American.

Legal technicalities arent cutting the mustard here and they wont. Either Obama has to put up or he will always wear a stigma of illigitimacy. This so called whispering campaign wont go away on technicalities, it will grow to a shout.

No she didn't. We already know where Obama went to school as well as Governor Palin. We don't hear about discussion about any college thesis that Palin wrote.

You've made the good and valid point that no one has asked her for hers - because apparently there is no process for verifying a candidate meets the requirements of the office they seek.

Also, I may have missed it, but (although it's certainly implied) I don't believe there is an age nor citizenship qualification for VP, just Pres. One could argue that, since the VP is president of the Senate (sorry, Hardball, but the Constitution actually says that) that the VP need to meet the requirements of a Senator, but, I don't believe it says that anywhere.
