You've made the good and valid point that no one has asked her for hers - because apparently there is no process for verifying a candidate meets the requirements of the office they seek.

Also, I may have missed it, but (although it's certainly implied) I don't believe there is an age nor citizenship qualification for VP, just Pres. One could argue that, since the VP is president of the Senate (sorry, Hardball, but the Constitution actually says that) that the VP need to meet the requirements of a Senator, but, I don't believe it says that anywhere.

but the republicans (like the people on these forums) want Sara to run in 2012 (even though that's a sure way to lose the election)

People who attack Gov. Palin seem to simply be afraid of a successful, intelligent, experienced, and conservative woman. I've yet to meet anyone who could withstand scrutiny as to their reasons for disliking her, you included.

What are you laughing at? Since numerous things were considered "the Bush Doctrine", and several sources had several different definitions, it was a damned smart question of her to ask before answering his question.

When you're as uninformed as you clearly are, you should not attempt to laugh at others who are more informed than you.

Other than slander by the press, what has she said or done that would lead you to believe that the governor of Alaska is stupid?

pardoning a turkey and bragging about it in front of a slaughterhouse

not being able to name any one supreme court case other than roe v. wade.

not knowing what the bush doctorine is.

saying she has foriegn policy experience because she can see russia from her house. i can see the moon from my house, am i now an astronaut? :killingme

honestly believing abstinence-only education would work.

honestly believing we should rid abortion and birth control and the morning after pill even in cases of rape and incest.

cutting funding for schools for special needs kids by 62% three consecutive years and claiming to be a friend of parents with special-needs children

honestly thinking we'd believe her on her lies about the bridge to nowhere

claiming obama's never written a single major law in the senate or in the state when he's sponsored and co-sponsored more passed legislation than her running mate at the time

should i go on?

the woman's a brainless dolt.

okay - fine...

The Bush Doctorine - aggressive action to secure America from terrorism (including preventive war, nation building and spreading democracy around the world). Duh.

What did she think he was asking? How the Bush Doctorine relates to assisiting with the recovery from Hurricane Ike?

Which, pretty much every politician of executive experience has done
not being able to name any one supreme court case other than roe v. wade.
This is the only one you list that has a bit of merit - she should have had a good answer to this
not knowing what the bush doctorine is.
Based on what?
saying she has foriegn policy experience because she can see russia from her house. i can see the moon from my house, am i now an astronaut? :killingme
That was Tina Fey who said that, not Palin
honestly believing abstinence-only education would work.
It could. At least, abstinence works better than a condom or pill. For every case you bring me of someone taught abstinence only that got pregnant, I'll provide you five that were taught about condoms and got pregnant (like Palin's daughter)
honestly believing we should rid abortion and birth control and the morning after pill even in cases of rape and incest.
Source for her governmental action on this (that she initiated or signed)?
cutting funding for schools for special needs kids by 62% three consecutive years and claiming to be a friend of parents with special-needs children
Source?
honestly thinking we'd believe her on her lies about the bridge to nowhere
Which lie was that?
claiming obama's never written a single major law in the senate or in the state when he's sponsored and co-sponsored more passed legislation than her running mate at the time
Well, there you go mixing things up again - what law did HE write, not co-sponsor?
should i go on?
Yes, you've only gotten one so far.... In fairness, did Biden provide you any pause with his issues?
the woman's a brainless dolt.
And, you've yet to demonstrate that opinion
okay - fine... a hot brainless dolt.
What about her scares you so much? You find it somehow necessary to sexualize her in a lame attempt to belittle her, but you only have one actual thing against her - she poorly answered a question on Supreme Court decisions with which she disagreed.

Every Governor pardons a turkey at Christmas or thanksgiving. Why was her doing it suddenly news worthy?
How many can you name?
Do you really believe Bush had a "doctrine" that he followed?
Tina Fey said she could see Russia, not Palin
You're an Idiot.
She NEVER advocated ONLY abstinence sex ed.
You're still an idiot.
She actually believes that ALL life is important, even an idiot like you.
She didn't cut funding, she didn't increase it as much as was requested so in liberal idiot speak, she cut funding.
Any governor will take a federally funded construction job.
... and Obama NEVER wrote a single piece of legislation.
Signing on as a sponsor or co-sponsor takes as much effort as signing a statement saying you're a citizen.

Can probably spell "doctrine", you betcha!

Charles Krauthammer - Charlie Gibson's Gaffe - washingtonpost.com

Amazing. Even Krauthammer would have got the answer wrong - and he INVENTED the term.

I wonder if Gibson would be smug enough to grill ME on the SamSpade doctrine? And then piously *explain* it to me?

saying she has foriegn policy experience because she can see russia from her house.

Yeah, and Quayle thought they spoke Latin in Latin America.
Guess what? Neither of them said those things, they both came from comedians. So we're supposed to have any regard for your opinion on the matter, when you have no idea what they have said, but get your opinions either from comedians, or people quoting them.

And *she's* a brainless dolt? Why don't you just get your news from the comic page?

Gibson could have been. A lot of things make up "the Bush Doctrine":
The Bush Doctrine is a phrase used to describe various related foreign policy principles of United States president George W. Bush. The phrase initially described the policy that the United States had the right to aggressively secure itself from countries that harbor or give aid to terrorist groups, which was used to justify the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan.

Later it came to include additional elements, including the controversial policy of preventive war, which held that the United States should depose foreign regimes that represented a potential or perceived threat to the security of the United States, even if that threat was not immediate; a policy of spreading democracy around the world, especially in the Middle East, as a strategy for combating terrorism; and a willingness to pursue U.S. military interests in a unilateral way. Some of these policies were codified in a National Security Council text entitled the National Security Strategy of the United States published on September 20, 2002
So What is the Bush Doctrine? The National Security Strategy Report [PDF] published in September 2002 is the reference document for the Bush Doctrine. The chapter titles after the introductory chapter spell out the main points of the doctrine:
  • Champion Aspirations for Human Dignity
  • Strengthen Alliances to Defeat Global Terrorism and Work to Prevent Attacks Against Us and Our Friends
  • Work with others to Defuse Regional Conflicts
  • Prevent Our Enemies from Threatening Us, Our Allies, and Our Friends with Weapons of Mass Destruction
  • Ignite a New Era of Global Economic Growth through Free Markets and Free Trade
  • Expand the Circle of Development by Opening Societies and Building the Infrastructure of Democracy
  • Develop Agendas for Cooperative Action with the Other Main Centers of Global Power
  • Transform America’s National Security Institutions to Meet the Challenges and Opportunities of the Twenty-First Century

Well, I figure it's time to pull the cord on this story....it seems to not make a difference to most.
Which story, Andy having no clue, Palin not being a dolt, or Obama potentially not being eligible for president?

I only care about two of those, personally.....
