More on that Birth Certificate thing...

Ok. Agreed. And I also agree that it makes me leery since the only accurate news... FOX... isn't reporting it. But here's a dumb question. If it is true about the BC, whats to keep someone from mysteriously "producing" one, knowing that they have the thugs and the power to do it? They could make it all original-looking, official and legit. They could probably even age it to make it look 47 years old and everything. I'm not being sarcastic... would that not be easy to do if it came right down to it? I'm not an expert on BC's

That's the crazy part I can't figure out. If there's nothing to it why is the USSC even entertaining it? And I've already asked the question about BO having the ability to forge a BC, the only problem with that is if he somehow gets caught in such a forgery, this would mean jail time. So is BO really that smart to hold this thing or really that dumb to believe it will just go away. Or maybe he is stalling to create a forgery with all the aging that would have to go into it. This isn't something you can create over night.

I feel like a conspiracy kook until I realize the USSC is actually taking this seriously.

You'd think they'd learn from Dan Rather's mistakes with paperwork but after what I've seen in this election NOTHING surprises me anymore...

He has had the document "sealed" by the governer of HI. Only him or a family member can retreive it. If he doesn't got the HI between now and Dec. 1, odds are it's a fake.

I don't recall McCain...or Bush...or Clinton...or Bush...or Reagan walking into a courthouse with their original birth certificate in hand.

Did I miss these monumental events?

He was just there 2 weeks ago. Maybe he picked it up then. When's grandma's funeral anyway, surely he'll be in Hawaii then too.

Actualluy, I'm not so sure I think this is true. If a court can issue a warrant to gather evidence why can't the USSC? Why can't they issue a warrant to have this "BC" seized? Do they have this authority?

If their origin of birth was in question and the USSC demanded it then...

But wasn't the case now was it? Someone filed a lawsuit and the USSC is entertaining the case. What are you implying here, that our USSC is racist or biased against socialists or something?

I don't recall any of those mentioned above having a Kenyan father, and an Indonesian step father.

I don't recollect any of the above possibly having been adopted by a foreigner.

Nor did any of them attend school in Indonesia..

Or have Arabic names..

Closest to any of the above would be Kissinger, and guess what, he's ineligible to be President too.

I would assume she's already in the ground.. and the caring, loving grandson of hers couldn't take time out of his day to attend.

Just like he couldn't help his own mother with her hospital bills. She died with the thought of paying her bills being the last thing on her mind.

and they're not legally required to attend their funeral.

Exactly.

Let's get real. Good grief, Aps. He has done nothing wrong with the way he's handled the sudden downturn in health and subsequent passing of his grandmother.

I don't care who we are talking about, I am a realistic person. He went to her in time to say his goodbyes. I see no need for him to make the trip back now that she is gone. He already paid his respects and to me, it means more that he dropped what he was doing and was able to go see her before she passed.

Was he adopted? All references are to a "step-father". That would mean that he wasn't adopted. If someone is adopted, the "step" goes away.

Really? I've never heard that before. I guess it makes sense from a legal standpoint, but I don't think people follow that convention when it comes to describing personal relationships.

He took his step fathers last name, and was registered in school in Indonesia with his step fathers last name Soetoro.. That would suggest that he was adopted.

... and at the time, Indonesia law only allowed citizens to attend school and did not permit dual/multiple citizenships. That would suggest he was at one time a citizen of Indonesia and ONLY a citizen of Indonesia.

He "took" his step father's last name? He has a kid. He didn't take any name. He just used the name everyone else in his house used. That doesn't mean he was adopted. Heck, I know someone who was adopted at age eight but he used his adoptive parent's name the whole time he was in school from K through grade 3, report cards and all. Also, there is conflicting information on the Indonesian laws at the time. There seems to be conflicting information about this whole story.
