75 shot would be nice but a direct port would step you up to 175+ easy.

Oh Cmon Megasquirt isnt that bad. just a TON of wires and all.
AEM is nice but not light on the wallet. very nice though...

Nah, they aren't that bad. I've built two of the megasquirts. One for my old turbo buick and one for a friends turbo civic. They're definitely neat units but they don't have the frills to play with that the comercial units have and some people would probably be intimidated by having to build it themselves.

We'll have to get together for some bench racing some time. :yay:

AEM is where its at.. But I doubt they have something for the TC out yet.... I know it took them 3 years for the srt to have a aem standalone... There are tons of pnp fuel management systems.. Hydra is one that I know of... I think AEM's tech support out weighs any other company.. IMO...

TC, I second floyd on the full standalone engine management system.
I agree as well.. I'm still doin the homework and once I get some other tC's with numbers off this kit and other mods, then I'll narrow my choices. I really like the unichip though.. any opinions?

They are quick.. I've raced probally a handful of them since purchasing the tC.. only one has given me a run and actually beat me. There is a red one around here.. He said to have intake, header, and exhuast only.. but I dont know.. I over launched my tC and lost too much traction off the jump.. thus resulting in what I believe to be my downfall.. I'll see him again.

have you raced a boosted rsx around here ? if so what was the outcome ?
I haven't actually raced him.. but I'm pretty sure he'd get me obviously.. I can pretty much take down any RSX-Type S off the line and keep ahead of him til around 4th gear.. usually they start to pull or catch back up.. depends on my launch..

Actually I know a guy in Miami that has been tinkering with the AEM system.. and has had astounding results.. I think he was putting up around 370+whp.. not sure what turbo or other mods he had.. but it was quite impressive.

Ahh you should give one a try the rsx turbo... i personally think they are slow... thas my opinion...

nice so someone has aem... I wonder if hes sorta testing it out or they are released already...Talk about options *sigh* you can do anything and everything with that damn aem... almost amazing...

My srt is for sale.... its going on autotrader sunday if I cant sell it via word of mouth and forums...

I want to say he was experimenting with the AEM.. I also believe he has another guy using it in Puerto Rico with even better success.. I think he topped 400+whp using it.

I am sorta babyin my tC for a bit.. I had some issues with it the other day.. and I hope its nothing serious.. not my car is fine.. but I dont know if the damage was already done or not. Too me it sounded like my resinator or cat had something rattling in it.. it was sluggish and very quiet. I kept punching it hoping that whatever was cloggin it down would blow out or just go away.. but I had to get my oil changed (which was overdue btw) and once I got it changed.. later that night it slowly got better... now its fine.. so I'm still making sure nothing internal was jacked up... AGAIN.

I dont think I really have that much of a chance against the boosted RSX-S.. the only one I saw was this red one that passed me on 235 by gate 1 yesterday right before lunch.. he wizzed by me, but really didn't seem that fast.. although they are more powerful than the stock tC.

You don't need a plug and play system. All you need are the wiring diagrams for the engine management system and the car, and some knowledge about your vehicles stock engine management and sensors. And of course some tools.

You'll also have to match the engine management system options/outputs to your vehicles sensors. For instance, it takes different hardware outputs and firmware to run an engine with an electronic distributor like an MSD/Accell/etc. than to run a DIS or coil on/near plug ignition.

This stuff is all pretty cool and one HELL of a lot of fun to play with!

There is a guy in a Yellow one... he's slow.
