Not trying to pry, but was it like a kneejerk reaction or was it something premeditated? :shrug: Admittedly, I'm not in your position and I wasn't there, it just sounds kind of harsh. A very sad turn of events for your cat and your neighbors dog . :shrug:

Im sorry to say it was premeditated. It was several months ongoing. First the doog kept coming around and Id call the pound and the next day it was back. finally after a couple months, we said next time it comes here, its dead. But the next time she showed up, she was pregnant. No way was I going to do that. So I waited, she had her pups, kept coming in my yard. I waited till I was sure the pups were good and weaned (and yes I gave it plenty of time, extra time) and the next time she came back we took her out.

Kinda reminds me of the battle my mom used to have with her neighbor. My mom's little cocka-poo would allegedly go take a crap in their yard all the time. One day, the neighbor came over with a ziplok of dog doo and told Mom that the next time the dog sh!ts in his yard, it's dead. My mom was so upset.
That night, me and my brother came back home from a night of

I'm sure people wouldn't blame you if you shot the dog while it was attacking your pet. But to shoot it because it *might* someday kill a pet you *might* one day have is ridiculous.

As I already said, an animal harms my pets or kids, and repeatedly returns to my yard, I will do whatever I need to to make it disappear. Don't want your pet to disappear? Keep control of it.

Amen and thanks. You know what it felt like, lets say your next door neighbor has a dog that hates small kids and will attack for no reason. and this guy wont keep control of his dog and no one else, AC, can do much. Your kid cant play outside even on the porch because its not safe. What would you do? Youd take the dog out yourself. Like I did. And dont give me any of this boo hoo crap about pets and kids are different. They are my kids.
