Pork Chop- agressive boxer at tricounty

No she didn't

I'm sure someone could give this dog a good home, if they were willing to give up their lives to train it and make it feel comfortable. But the shelter is right to warn potential adopters that the dog may have a problem with other animals, especially after Mike and Bay Kat's experience with it.

and if she hadn't deleted it she could easily prove it, oh but then the stories from the most recent owner would still be there......

seriously, i only care because i think it is wrong when people who think of themselves as rescuers do not disclose information like this. If this dog had gone back to catt or jww i seriously doubt either would have told the potential adopters about mike and bay's experience. It is a good thing that they took him back to the pound like JWW was supposed to do according to her contract with them. Now he is properly labeled and any potential owner will at least have all the information

Funny thing is, he isn't having the issues he had with Mike and Bay Kat at Tri County. I asked when I called yesterday.

You don't know Catt very well, then. If nothing, she is more than honest. It offends me that you are questioning her integrity.

Catt is a very caring person and would tell you upfront if there was a problem with the animal. She has no secrets to hide from anyone. She is good with animals and has given me really good advice with my dog. If I were to ever get an animal from her I bet she would be upfront like she is with everything so far.

Funny, two of mine know "time out" very well.

So does our black lab. He'll try to run away when he knows he's in trouble but we get him to the kitchen and leave the room. He is finally pretty well behaved with one exception. He cannot seem to leave the darn cat alone EVER. I don't think anything will break him of that obsession. :lmao:

also when animals get moved from home to home different behaviors happen as any change stresses an animal out.

i never said i know anything about you. I am simply going by what you have said and done in the recent threads. the FACT that you deleted them tells me alot.

if you are insulted or offended, oh well. i am sure mike and bay were insulted by your accusations in the other threads, and the fact that you even started one of them with the expressed intent of calling them out.

you should be calling out jwwb who gave up the dog a month ago, but is now in a position to take it back in?????

Help "Invisible Dogs"
the shelter has NOT labeled this dog agressive - if you read the write up, it says the owner said that.

With the hundreds of animals she has fostered and adopted out if Catt did that it would be common knowledge. She is not the type to do it, nor would she ever do it. This tread has gone long past any type of concern, you are stirring shiat just to be an ass which is why I suppose she deleted the other thread, it outlived its purpose and turned into a wankfest.

Where do you get off with this insinuation of either when you don't know either of them? I for one know Catt very well and she does have a sense of right and wrong. She's a wonderful and VERY honest person. She would have never decieved anyone on an animal's aggression issues, not in the least.

In defense of JWWB or Catt not returning it to the shelter as their end of the agreement. The dog was temperment treated at the shelter, it did fine for two years at the previous owners home. And personally, I don't care how many contracts I sign with a KILL shelter. If there's no issue with the dog where I see it needs to be put down - why in the world WOULD I bring it to a KILL shelter aside from a signature on a contract. Absolutely NOT, I will try to find it a home myself instead of the easy way out and dropping it off and thereby giving it a cage, concrete floor and an execution date. No way. Not me. If it was aggressive then it would be an entirely different matter, however up until that point aggression wasn't an issue.

Can you discipline dogs like you discipline kids?

Sure. You can discipline cats that way, too. Kiki sits in time out when she's naughty. Stupid Gidget won't stay and just goes nutty, so I use a more, um, demonstrative form of discipline with her.

(No, I don't wring her neck like I'd like to - I get her by the scruff and bark at her. Literally, like a dog. That seems to work, whereas something like that would break Kiki's heart.)
