Whoa!! Mitzi off the top rope...

This isn't directed to everyone who moved here for their jobs. Only to the ones who did and do nothing but complain about it. I remember an article I read in the 90s, people were complaining there were no sidewalks and street lights.

I didnt bring the all the crackheads and crackwhores with me, also pretty sure they didnt come to PaxRiver for work, so I'm guessing they are natives.

Probably so. And where were they? Lexington Park, the place I said had the most crime in the county. It used to remind me of Suitland. Old looking and people hanging out everywhere, usually drunk.

So I do nothing but complain about it? Do you follow me around all day and listen to me?

As I said I'm trying to give them a realistic view. I was told it was rural, and to me when I got here it was an urban sprawl crime riddled mass of people, not what I was expecting.

Only what I read on the forum. To be fair, how long have you lived here?

I don't consider St Marys rural btw
I don't either, anymore. I come from Kansas, where there are places you can literally go miles before you see a building of any type, can drive on a state highway at rush hour and see 2 cars in 20 minutes, the nearest "town" has one 4 way stop and is twenty miles away, and traffic jams only happen when there are 2 combines on the road trying to get past each other going opposite directions. There's city rural, and there's really rural.

Again, in Lexington Park and now spread up to California. I've never had a panhandler approach me in Leonardtown or anywhere else I've lived in the county.
Hollywood McKays, wawa in Charlotte Hall, and even Dollar General in Ridge are places I've had them approach me I wouldn't have expected.

Now that I think about it, I have had a few approach me at BurchMart. It's pretty rare though.

I have to deal with a very high employee turnover rate, I find it best to be honest from the start, most leave because they dont like it in SOMD.

I believe you because when I was homesick (Ha!) people told me it had changed and to snap out of it. They, too have now left. Sad.

Steady $130k/yr will easily get you a mortgage on a $350k home around here which will be in a nice, conveniently located home.
$1500/mo will get you a decently located 2 bedroom 2 bath rental spot but it will be more expensive than buying (if you can afford it).
