Riots

happy to be living
they should be fine, this trash goes into the middle class or more well to do neighborhoods
Actually, I have been texting with a friend and he said the riots have been in the downtown area. Probably not considered well to do or middle class. Where many areas have been revitalized, I don't think the area they are rioting at is in the "nicer" neighborhoods.

Portland Police Declaring Riots Against All Those White People Is 'Racist'

The idea that one of the most liberal states on the planet is racist because the police describe a riot as a “riot” is the biggest case of gaslighting since actual gas set one of the Left’s buddies on fire.

Oregon’s public radio outlet has declared that if Portland police declare a riot, it’s not really because it’s a riot, it’s a riot because it is based in racist law.
Ooooh, we see.
Laws governing what constitutes an “unlawful assembly” or “riot” in Oregon have roots in the state’s deeply racist history.
Of course, the wokest of woke police forces, whose latest chief is approved by Black Lives Matter, Inc™ (BLM) and the local black churches, is overseeing the riot response so the allegation makes little to no sense.

Dem Staffer Among Dozens Arrested In Portland Riot Marking 101 Days Of Unrest

“The police arrested Kristina Narayan, who is legislative director for the top Democrat in Oregon’s House of Representatives, along with 58 others during a riot that began Saturday night and continued into Sunday morning, according to a Portland Police Bureau report,” the Free Beacon notes. “Narayan has worked for House Speaker Tina Kotek since 2016.”

Kotek, according to her statements on social media, has been generally supportive of the ongoing protests in Portland, tweeting back on September 1st that the demonstrations were the result of ongoing “tensions.” She acknowledges that many of the protests have devolved into riots, but seems to blame “provocateurs” who “are looking for a fight and advancing a white supremacist ideology” for inciting destruction and violence in Portland’s downtown and residential neighborhoods.

She also says she believes in “holding individuals accountable” for destructive behavior. In her statement following the death of Aaron Danielson, a Trump-supporter and counter-protester shot by a self-described supporter of “Antifa,” she does suggest holding police officers accountable for “confrontational and violent crowd control tactics.”

I find the number 91% to be a bit on the questionable side.

A percentage of 98 to 99 with sound more reasonable.

“Demonstrators with bullhorns shout for people to come ‘out of your house and into the street’ and demonstrate their support,” the nY Times notes. “These more aggressive protests target ordinary people going about their lives, especially those who decline to demonstrate allegiance to the cause.”

If the incidents sound scary, it is because they are, though the NY Times doesn’t acknowledge that outright. Instead, it speaks to a neighbor — a black man, business owner, and veteran — who’s been targeted by the nightly demonstrations for having an American flag on his porch.

Mr. Moses was initially not sure what the protesters were upset about, but as he got closer, he saw it: His neighbors had an American flag on display.
“It went from a peaceful march, calling out the names, to all of a sudden, bang, ‘How dare you fly the American flag?’” said Mr. Moses, who is Black and runs a nonprofit group in the Portland, Ore., area. “They said take it down. They wouldn’t leave. They said they’re going to come back and burn the house down.”
Mr. Moses and others blocked the demonstrators and told them to leave.
“We don’t go around terrorizing folks to try and force them to do something they don’t want to do,” said Mr. Moses, whose nonprofit group provides support for local homeless people. “I’m a veteran. I’m for these liberties.”

Will just energize it if the shooting starts, more crazies out of the woodwork, more Democrat insanity and more Media instigation. The words Protests and Riots are now synonymous
Yeah, maybe, but sooner or later, they're gonna run out of crazies.

And without irony, Governor Brown issued this statement about the “Proud Boys”:

“The First Amendment does not give anyone license to hurt or kill someone because of opposing political views,” Brown said. “And when free expression is fueled by hate and coupled with an intent to incite violence, then I need to do everything I can as governor to ensure the safety of Oregonians.”
Brown has never uttered similar warnings about the nightly rioters of antifa and Black Lives Matter. Indeed, there are never warnings issued to antifa and BLM to let the right-wing groups peacefully rally because they have a First Amendment right to peaceably assemble and speak.

The closest she came was after the murder of Aaron “Jay” Danielson, telling Fox 12 News in Portland that it’s all President Trump’s fault that antifa isn’t peaceful.
“Whether it’s supporting our law enforcement or issuing a clarion call to ending racism, I ask that everyone do so, and do it peacefully,” Brown said.
Brown said she did not have a problem with people who want to share their support for a separate protest for law enforcement.
“I think the challenge that we are facing in this country is that our president, President Trump, is sowing the seeds of hatred and division,” Brown said. “And we are seeing these seeds bear fruit in communities around the entire country … it has to end.”
In fact, besides Trump, Brown blamed Danielson and the far-right group for the murder by the leftist antifa member.

The conservative group has often held “free speech” rallies and other gatherings in what looks at least partly like a troll to see if they’ll be able to pull it off without antifa and BLM thugs starting violence. Indeed, unless antifa picks fights, no violence occurs at these gatherings. During one permitted rally in particular, Portland police kept antifa separated from the Proud Boys/Patriot Prayer group and there was no violence.

Brown is staffing up for Saturday’s rally, and if any right-wing protesters get hurt, she won’t sweat it because she thinks they deserve it.

I saw an odd Biden ad last night. In it he said he would stop the riots and Trump hasn't done anything to stop them. Does this mean he will get the Democrat Mayor's & Governors of the cities & states riots are happening in to crack down on them.? Do the rioters know their days are numbered because Uncle Joe's gonna stop them. I guess he had to say something because the more riots, the more his polls sink.

Oregon Politicians Who Let BLM Ravage Portland Respond to Proud Boys With Extreme Force

Oregon Governor Kate Brown, seemingly panicked, declared a state of emergency and issued orders for a joint command of state, local, and county police. This would allow the police to use tear gas on the “white supremacist” Proud Boys. Police had been banned from using tear gas during Black Lives Matter protests.
NBC News:
“We have seen what happens when armed vigilantes take matters into their own hands. We’ve seen it in Charlottesville, we’ve seen it in Kenosha and, unfortunately, we have even seen it here in Portland,” the governor said, referring to deaths following political clashes in Virginia, Wisconsin and Oregon.
“Let me be perfectly clear, we will not tolerate any kind of violence this weekend,” she said. “Those stoking the flames of violence, those coming to Portland looking for a fight will be held accountable.”
Apparently, there’s a difference between Black Lives Matter activists trashing the city and right-wing groups gathering in counter-protest. The governor only wants far-left rioters to destroy Portland.
The Proud Boys protests during the day were sparsely attended. NBC claims only 200 showed up while The Oregonian says as many as 800 were there.
