Last I heard was that since they will loose most of their employees waiting for the building to be ready, they were thinking about NOT reopening. This was from an article in the Enterprise (or whatever the Waldorf version of the Washington Post Co. "local" paper is called).

What is your source that they are planning to open?

I haven't lived in LaPlata for years, so I hardly ever ate at Roy Rogers. However, I have heard nothing but great things about that restaurant and how nobody wanted to see it close.
Its a shame all fast food restaurants are not compared to Roy's. I'm sure the food was good, it seems it was well liked because of the employees and owners. They had pride in their work and would strive for good customer service.

No McDonald's of Burger King, etc. will ever compare to what I have heard and read about Roy's. To bad these other restaurants can't hire employees who care about customer service.

I love Roys, but if the one in Solomon's closed tomorrow, I sure wouldn't be heart broken, but if it means a "meeting" at the Tiki Bar, I'm there. :lmao:
