A .40S&W Jacketed Hollow Point to the upper torso seemed to have helped quite a bit!

I guess, but listening to the scanner, he tasered the guy, shot him and then he pulled, or started using the knife. I wonder if the taser didn't work so well through leathers or something.

I know the guy. Never knew him to be a drug user, but he was a alcoholic with several DWIs. He did 18 months for DWIs and said he would never go back. I assume he was probably trying to do himself in.

There was an incident with PCP involved just last friday night in which 3 people were stabbed. One of them fatally.

Right, another poster mentioned that also, but you just don't hear about PCP the way you used to.

Wake up....This is not a joke or a situation to make stupid comments about. Did anybody stop to think that Deputy Porter had to chase this man at high speeds. Tazer him first to stop the dude from harming himself, the other citizen or Deputy Porter. I would have shot him first. He did his job only to have this dude try to kill an innocent citizen and Deputy Porter or who else was in his way of travel. Put yourself in Deputy Porter's postion how would you react. Look at the effects this will have on this officer, his loved one's and his private life. Thank god we have an officer like this in St. Mary's County. Walking Tall.
