Shop with a Cop

It's a nice thought, but just because it's a cop, doesn't mean it's not a stranger. I don't send my child out with strangers.

Thats true, I could understand that a parent would be worried letting their child go with a complete stranger, including a police officer. I would be a tad bit apprehensive myself. We always associate policeman = someone who you can always turn to if you need help. But things are scary out there now, and you don't know who you can trust, and that is a shame.

Sad, but true. Even cops commit crimes.

You and dickhead have done excellent work badmouthing a program that officers are using to do something positive. That's good work; hold your head high. :yay:

Even though some officers aren't model citizens (yeah, I know some are bad), why mess with the good ones too? Doesn't make sense.

Show me where I bad mouthed the program.

See, marybek, a majority of cops are good guys earning a living. Our internet local yokel smcop is full of :bs: and himself. Don't look at all cops the way smcop acts and portrays local cops to be. He's the rotten egg the department would flush down the urinal if they actually saw his antics.

I think it's a good program, done by good cops.

PS - that excludes you, Roscoe.

I guess this qualifies as badmouthing all cops, right bohman?

Certainly. Post 4, you called it creepy. Post 9, you said there's too many flakes on the force to send a kid on this program. And just a few comments ago, you basically implied that sending your kid out for a shopping trip with a cop is the same as sending them down a dark alley with a guy in a trench coat.

I'm not too dumb to realize that you are just baiting smcop, but there's a lot of collateral damage in your attack on him.

Maybe if the cops would take out the trash once in a while, this would be a non issue.

Because of who you allowed to crown himself king spokesman for everyone in southern maryland law enforcement. If you don't want to be bad mouthed, find a better voice.

Perhaps. I don't know smcop, so I won't guess whether he's a good, bad, or mediocre cop. Maybe you're right, and he's a jerk.

And I do know that cops need some criticism now and then, to keep them on their toes with all the trust and power that we give them. It just seemed like you were REALLY reaching here, and looking for any chance at all to put them down.

Educate me. Nobody badmouthed me, I'm not cop. Who crowned himself what, and why is he bad?

And feel free to berate me for not keeping up with local politics. I really should, but I haven't. :ohwell:

That's your problem, not mine.

classic response of someone who's being an @ss. sounds like something a kid on the playground would say.

i don't pay enough attention to know whether smcop is really that bad or if you just don't get along, either way seems like a lot of what is being said isn't just directed at him.

Then I guess you should brush up on your reading comprehension skills....and maybe pay attention.
