I get very emotional about my critters, especially when people like Katelin slam me. I know I need to have a tougher shell, and believe me, I'm working on it. Had I not picked up Boxy from that business in Upper Marlboro, he would have ended up at the shelter that day, and likely have been put down
I saved his life, and I know it, but he's a wonderful dog (I posted elsewhere on the forum recently about his attributes) and he's worth saving despite the over-abundance of pets in this Country. On the other hand I can think of a few people who I wouldn't extend that same consideration to.
Boxy eats Taste of the Wild 2 X a day (sometimes 3), gets walked 4 times a day, and he sleeps in a King Sized bed every night with his own blankie and his own pillow. Not ideal that he can't run in a big 6' fenced yard .... but compared to dying at the shelter, or being caged somewhere, he's doing well as someone said.
I am honest about critters, and in the process I admit the critter may not have an ideal life, but I am here to bridge the gap until they find their forever home.
I like that your not just trying to find anyone to just take him but a real home.
