maybe he didn't knowingly lie on the app. some people get suspended because they forgot to pay a ticket and don't realize they are until they get pulled over again.

I'll ask again

Have you talked to this employee and gotten the facts or are you going to report him based on gossip?

Have you talked to him about it yet? You really should get the facts before calling. I wouldn't report anything based on 2nd party gossip.

He called this afternoon and left me a message saying he was dealing with an attorney because the dealership wanted to back out of the deal. He didn't say why, but I already knew. It can't hurt to call, and if he's actually driving legally it won't be an issue.

My thoughts exactly. I'm irritated with him for lying on the application most of all.

Oh Please! Maybe he didn't lie dingo! Maybe he didn't know!

If it were my employee and he had lied on his application I'd let him go.

I can't stand nasty little back stabbing people!

The employee who filled me in about the man in question is a good friend and wouldn't tell me this for nothing. And I don't think the guy lied unintentionally, from what my friend said. Not to say it MIGHT not be true, but I'm pretty sure it is.

If you hire such "shady" workers, what kind of scheme (business) you got going? :bubble:

Doesn't matter - when you're the boss you have the luxury of saying, "Do as I say, not as I do".

We work here at Pax - and I'm not sure of most companies that do a license check as part of the hiring process...unless the job requires driving a lot.
