It's not horrible for them at all. They're only doing this for money and publicity anyway. All you have to do is take a look at the brother to know that. He said on national TV that Terri didn't have a heart attack, that she was strangled to death by her husband. Neil Cavuto was pandering to him big time and, when the brother said that, Cavuto quickly changed the subject because even HE knows that's bullshit and he's on their side.

After 15 years, doctors would have noticed signs of abuse without the Schindlers pointing it out. Unless....unless.....the doctors are all in on it!!! :jet:

:nono: Just ask Patricia Keaton... she'll explain everything...

If it were my daughter, I'd be all over the news, I'd be knocking on every door I could to stop some man from killing her.

  I see both sides but I'm leaning on Christy's -- who errs on the side of death  albeit "eurporhic" of a treatment she's been given the luxury of experiencing  :ohwell: I have to wonder how eurphoric it feels right before you die when you get shot in the head by a bullet??? I have a feeling she will still experience what most folks go through before they pass on into the other world... that look of total and complete fear, etc... :frown: no matter how euphoric and with or without a cortex thing... :ohwell: :frown:

I'd hope you wouldn't let your daughter marry someone who wanted to kill her. So it's their fault for not preventing the marriage in the first place. :neener:

AhHa! Now I know you're being sarcastic about the whole thing. You almost had be believing you were serious there.

For the record, my own father had cancer of the throat. The radiation burned up his mouth and throat so badly he couldn't swallow food (and eventually couldn't swallow water). He finally said "Enough" and quit eating and drinking. Two weeks later he died quietly and painlessly in his sleep. Nuff said about the torment of 'starving' or 'dying of thirst' OK?

I must say, this is the most exemplary I've ever seen in terms of disagreeing and debating on here, let alone in the politics forum ... this is nice, civil, people not getting all hot headed, name calling etc...  both of you should be commended on making a clear cut case for your beliefs without sinking to the levels that some folks sink on here for making their points. WTG!!! Let this be an example to others !!!

But Terri doesn't have cancer:shrug: :neener: and I was serious :neener: - Patricia Keeton every night on Entertainment Tonight breaks down crying and explains the whole sad story.. :neener: :neener:

Well I plan on having lots of say in who my kids marry. If they intend to marry a :loser: they will just have to disapear.

I have already started teaching my kids the importance of family (by blood, not marriage  ) over anyone else, as did my parents, and their parents and so on and so on.

Well, I believe that, when you marry, your husband and children become your family. Even more so because you chose him instead of just being stuck with him.

So, if Terri's parents didn't care enough to not let her marry a murderer, why do you think they care now?

I agree with you 100%. I dated someone who was glued to their mother, etc.. and that was family to him and always would be and that was that... it never sunk in that when married and having kids that would ever be considered a family. I knew I needed out when I realized if a natural disaster were to occur, this person would yell... where's my mother??!!! where's my father??!! where's my brother?!!! where's my sisters?!! where's my cousins?!! where's my nephews and neices, etc... and I would be somewhere around 10th on that list... I knew that was not someone I would be able to gel with and have kids with... :ohwell: JMO. I agree the husband becomes the new family but in this situation... the parents have more to lose than the husband -- what does it matter if everyone thinks she's dead anyways  Why not err on the side of advanced technology, new therapy, etc... :neener:

Obviously not if they let her marry a murderer to begin with.

Ahhaaa!!! so you both don't have me on ignore... :roflmao: I agree but she wasn't thinking with all cylinders (ED), etc... the parents can only do soo much to protest it and parents aren't mind readers... :frown:

It also took them 15 years of their daughter being brain dead to realize that her husband tried to kill her.

I agree and I think at the time she supposedly mentioned this twice after seeing family members buried as vegtables (coincidence) that the option WAS NOT stated as to either a) live via feeding machine or b) pull the plug and die of dehydration and starvation for a few weeks... a slow death and national scrutiny. Given the two I think I'd want to stay on the machine... not die out under the microscope of the media to watch me die daily, etc... :frown: Folks have stated that its not about the parents or the husband... it's what about Terri... although I agree but isn't it the general speculation that she's already dead? So then... if she's already gone than what does it matter if the parents get their way or the husband... however the family has more at stake and more to loose in this situation... they loose a life... the husband losses... hmmmm ... can someone remind me again? What does he loose if she lives?

Red Square for this post. :frown: so much for us debatting civil... :killingme:

RedSquare -- The GOP's TITANIC Shiav... 03-25-2005 07:27 PM It's incredible how stupid you can be at times.
