Either Giant in California hasn't gotten a truck in the last three days or people are cleaning out the same stuff each day before 5.
No paper goods - towels, TP, tissues or wet wipes.
No chicken, maybe a few odds and ends but the meat case has been filled with Lunchables - I guess with no school those might be an overstock.
Pasta,, rice , couscous, real slim pickens.
Same shelves that were bare at the start of the week were bare at 1700 yesterday.

You got it right peoples are in the stores as soon as they open. I got in Giant about 8, hated getting up early, they had about 20 4 pks left of good TP, and a lot of single roles, limit two four packs. I had three and got in self check it and the lady said NOPE only 2 per person.

I've been hitting CH Food Lion in the afternoon. Yesterday they had about a case of store brand TP on the shelf. I didn't check today, but I did get some more fresh fruit and a few staples. They had 2 jars of spaghetti sauce, Bertolli sweet peppers and portobello mushroom. I almost grabbed both out of instinct. Everything was slim pickings and the place was still packed, but people were very polite. :yay:

It's you isn't it? I knew it. How do you get your business done with six sheets? C'mon PeoplesElbow spill. It's your chance to save America - we're counting on you.

Oh and before and after please. Video would be nice. Running commentary on what you happen to be reading. Just go with it - whatever makes you comfortable.
No way I could get by with only 6 squares

You can sure tell that a lot of people don't eat at home much! I've never seen whole grain brown rice completely OUT. EVER. I was at Safeway in PF. I ended up finding these brown rice pkgs. that you heat in the microwave AND are low sodium. But I did get the last 3. 1 pkg of rice, with stir-fried veggies and chicken - and that's dinner. :yay:

The meat cases were slim pickins. Hardly any ground beef except the leaner types and the grain fed Angus beef in the 1 lb. pkgs. I got 2 1lb pkgs for the freezer and can make 2 meals stretch out of either of those, if I HAD to.

I only did my regular weekly shopping, with a few extras that I could freeze just "in case" we are told to stay in side. I got extra cereal, yogurt and bread for Thing1 last week and I picked up 1 more of each this week. They were out of boneless chicken breasts, which is a staple for me. I was prepared to buy a whole roaster, if need be - but instead they had split breast halves, and I figured I'd just take those. NO biggie in that regard, really.

The only thing I REALLY wanted and didn't get was at least 1 roll of paper towels, otherwise, I really got all that we needed.

Same at FL.
I think the peeps from Golden Beach area shop just the opposite from PF and LTown. The majority of the highly refined stuff was gone, but the "healthy choice" types of things were still on the shelves. Whole grain pasta, brown rice, multigrain breads as far as the eye could see. I saw plenty of fresh meats, fruits, and vegetables. Hell, they even had their frozen shrimp on sale, and plenty of them! I'd be willing to bet that half of the shoppers got "to go" food on the way back to their bunkers.:roflmao:

I was going to buy ONE container of these Clorox wipes, as I currently keep 1 in each bathroom. Thing1's hours were cut, so he will be home more, so I make I wanted to sure I have enough of these on hand. I have a gallon of bleach, so it's not like i will run out of sanitizing ability. These are just easier and Thing1 won't ruin clothes and such.

Noooooo, they only had three of these FOUR pks in Wally's today!

I guess I can use the barter system! I'll trade 1 (75 sheets) container for 1 roll of Paper towels! :roflmao:

Damn! I just opened my last full roll this week to clean the used truck seat I installed. I only used maybe 6-8 of them, but they're jumbo select-a-size. Even swap?
