I'm telling you, people have gone batshit crazy!
I've seen people filling up multiple 5 gallon gas cans...like, if the gas stations end up closed that means everything will be closed. Why do you need to horde gas?? Where will you need to go??

I'd be filling up my gas cans for the tractor and other gas devices while the price is low, not so much for the truck.

I say, "I'd be', because my cans are already full, don't need any more right now.

Damn! I just opened my last full roll this week to clean the used truck seat I installed. I only used maybe 6-8 of them, but they're jumbo select-a-size. Even swap?
That's your last roll!

I'd have to go by CH Food Lion to trade ya, too. I need to go out in the morning for 3 things I forgot today, so I'll see what I can find. I'm still okay, since I have the 1 roll. :huggy:

I wonder if I qualify for senior shopping. I am 60, afterall. 🤔

Cripes. I'm kind of hoping this whole thing will wipe out all the stupid people. They can't last forever.

I need to check out the price of non-ethanol gas. I wonder if that's come down yet. I have boat tanks to fill, plus it stores well over a year when Stabilized.

No silly, I had roll in the holder, but opened the new roll because I thought the seat would take most of a roll to clean.:smack:

It only took 6-8 sheets. It wasn't as filthy as I thought.

Sugar? Who the hell is stockpiling sugar? Wally and Commosary, both picked clean.
Ha, ask anyone who lived through the end of socialism, or your Grandpappy who lived through Great Depression.
Sugar (plus some type of vegetable starch plus yeast) makes 'shine.
'Shine can be a valuable barter item when the economy goes to s*it and money is worth nothing.
A bottle of 'shine is usually worth your toilet fixed, or your small field tilled, etc.

I am so annoyed with a friend right now. She posted they're at a bar in Virginia and it's packed. Can't stand two days not going to a local bar here, so they go to Virginia. So they take the chance of picking this sh*t up and bringing it here. I'm almost hoping whoever is driving gets a DUI.

$1.81 for regular. The alcohol-free isn't listed.
Yeah, I checked after your tip. :yay: I didn't see the non-ethanol listed, so I called them. Their diesel is $2.44. That's not worth the trip since I'm not smoking regularly, but I would drive the truck over for cheap boat gas and also fill the truck. I have 4 6-gallon cans, a 12 gallon o/b tank, and 2 6 gallon o/b tanks, and 2 3 gallon o/b tanks. I would make it worth my while!

There's still some of that going on around here, too.

Ok, serious. For those people who 'buy as they need', and didn't have more than a few rolls in the house, and can now not find any on the shelves, what are you going to do? What are you going to use in the meantime?
Steal TP from my work as needed. Hell, if I am going to be the only one there, I might as well. But... I FOUND SOME GROUND TURKEY!!! Thank you Instacart!! 4 packs @$10/pack but at this point I don't care!!! Will be delivered by 1pm. :bann::yahoo::dingding::starcat::dye::getdown::thewave:

I couldn't find any sugar free pancake syrup anywhere.
You will find a dollop of whipped cream is low in calories and can turn a plain pancake into a treat. I would also like to add a favorite tip of mine for making pancakes. If you have canned pumpkin, make a mixture of pumpkin and water. Add pumpkin spice or other seasonings you may have such as nutmeg, cinnamon, etc. As you add your pancake mix, add minimal water at a time until you get a thick but spoon-able consistency. Cook on a low temp as it will want to allow the inside batter to cook without making the outside too dark. This is what I had for breakfast. You can top with any sort of nuts, bananas, pumpkin or apple butter spread, jams, etc. whatever you have on hand. You can even use peanut butter. You can use minimal amounts of just about anything and have a super delish and healthier pancake breakfast.

The CH Food Lion had plenty of their house brand, sweetened with sorbitol, when I was in there Friday. I didn't check yesterday, as I had already purchased my "lite" syrup on my last excursion.

Washcloths? They can be washed, at least. :sshrug:

I have plenty of TP and I can do without P towels if we get sequestered. I found napkins at Giant today and those will suffice for lots of uses, but mainly tissues, if I run out of those.

Those of us who are above a certain age remember how it was before our society became a disposable society. We'll have to get creative!

Thanks, that doesn't make a fussy 70 year old happy though.
