Tonight on my ride home I met the greatest driver in SOMD.

The relevant point is "two or more lanes in your direction".....

Then why say "highway" and not road? Different people will interpret it differently. I'm not going to disect a guideline as I agree that slower traffic should keep to the right.

Not to mention it says "highway"..... I don't consider ANYTHING in SOMD a highway.

That's pointing out a different view not disecting it. If I was going to disect it I'd of looked up the definition of road and highway and carried on further and not agreed.

And my favorite old arse saying which is totally appropriate in this thread.... If you're gonna ride my ass you could at least pull my hair.

The Maryland Driver's Handbook reads "When you are driving more slowly than the traffic flow on a highway that has two or more lanes in your direction, you should move to and stay in the right lane." Cruising in the left lane is discourteous and impedes a safe flow of traffic.

But it also states if I have to go above the speed limit to pass you, than I should probably stay where I am. I was doing 55 in a 55 and 45 in a 45. They would've had to have gone above the speed limit to pass me. It also states while you shouldn't impede with traffic, you should always obey the speed limit. If a cop wanted to, he could go on 301 and pull a random person over when 10 cars are going 70 mph and be completely justified.

Of course, once a cop is spotted, everybody seems to behave and drive at (or generally below) the speed limit.

The way I look at it is if you're changing your driving habit because a cop is nearby, you were probably in violation of the law and in the wrong. If someone else slows up and you're forced to slow up because a cop is seen, you are probably in the wrong to start with.

Do you speed up and move out of a cops way if they are behind you with their lights on? Or an ambulance for that matter?

Is it 700 pages long, too?
Just 1, and it only has three lines.

"Pixie is always right"

"Do what Pixie says"

The only acceptable response to Pixie is "Yes dear"

If the lights are on, I'll pull over right now. Legally, you're only supposed to speed up when signaled.

What if there is a car in the right lane? Do you wait to find a left turn lane you can pull into instead?
