With all this rain soaking the ground and the wind, you're going to see a lot more trees uprooted and down. Had a large poplar in my yard one year with wind and rain, came up root ball and all.
Between the rain, wind, and fear of trees falling and deers running out, I saw a mouse run across the road. I had never seen one do that before.

Tree down this morning around 3:45am across Little Cove Point Rd just outside the back gate of CRE. Had to turn around and go out the Post Office way.
Like I said, deer don't move in the rain unless something spooks them. They can sense the weather coming and will find a place in the thick underbrush to lay down.Well, I was dodging deer to get out of my housing development, just like I do almost every day. There was two deer standing in my side yard also.
Was still blocked off at 0645 this morning. Still hearing call after call after call -- "Local Box xxx, tree across the road, (address), call holding".
Also LOTS of PD MVA's -- drive carefully out there this morning.
Can't be a good day to work be for SMECO, I bet.
Just heard Flat Iron Road was under water. Sheriff's Deputy just called it in. I haven't heard much in the way of trees down this morning. Seems like the winds have slacked off compared to what they were last night.
However with looking at the Buoy data they are still reporting 45 mph wind gusts and 30 mph Sustained Winds.
Not as windy here at the office as it is at home.
I am going to call Kerwin and have him take out every single tree in my back yard. I don't care what yard guy says.
Tree down in the area of Snow Hill Manor Road. North of the college.
Nah, it's just Snow Hill. Snow Hill Manor would be a 3 box, Snow Hill is a 4-01 box.
Sorry. Still stuck back in the days when it was all one. Just North and South.
