Unrestrained Kids

She lives in So Md. not Japan where that the norm.

When we were there, it was an everyday occasion that you would see moms driving down the road holding their infants....I saw a woman breast feeding one day :eyebrow:

For a minute there I thought you were taking a shot at me :roflmao:

Technology or busy bodies that want to control everything we do?

I'm both ways on this issue, children haven't really learned enough about the consequences of not wearing seatbelts but at the same time, if parents don't want to buckle them and they get killed, the parents will have to live with it for the rest of their lives. I could never live with that guilt, so I choose to make them as safe as possible.

I think most parents try to do the same. But if you apply this rule to your children, apply it to yourself as well, along with other children.

What is that supposed to mean?

Whatever you would like it to mean. If you have a pool, trampoline, knives, dogs, lighters, small toys around children, they pose a threat. Why not just take everything away and live in an empty house...

 I'm guessing most people try to make sure things are safe. This means not letting children play with knives, not letting them swim unsupervised, not leaving them alone with dogs, not giving them choking hazards. :yay:

Children are going to get hurt, that's just a fact of life. However, something like a 2,000 lbs vehicle traveling at 50 mph is a little more dangerous than other things. Plus, you can't make sure other drivers are safe. Therefore, it is important to some to make sure they keep their kids as safe as possible because they can't avoid every possible dangerous situation.

I am so very blessed
My mom said she had some kind of harness for me. She hooked one end to me and one end to the back seat and I could run back and forth on the seat, jump up and down, or lie down and nap if I wanted to. She said I loved it!
Psssst. That weren't no harness. It was a leash.

:duh:

Lets not give police men guns, or firefighters suits. Lets make everything as dangerous as we possibly can.

I bubble wrap my mutts from head to toe....makes it hard for them to go to the bathroom....but, I don't have to worry about them getting hurt :yay:

This is what any responsible parent would do. Those ones that let their child touch the seat of a public restroom should be given the electric chair.

:ohwell: I had to take my daughter to a port a potty last week, but I did hold her arm so that she didn't fall in.

Ass :roflmao: All I'm saying is, if there is a way to make something safer, why not do it

Then the design of the seat belt in the back seat(where most kids are) needs to be different....it is not made for a child that is "legally"(80lbs) old enough to be in a car without a car seat

*dialing CPS*

You actually let your daughter use a port-a-potty? I would rather my girl go in the woods than to use those nasty germ infested things
