I was born here, have lived here my entire life, and intend to stay here until taxes drive me away.
Despite me being born here, my many family ties to this area, and long-time connection to this community, I am not considered to be "from here", or a SMIB. Why? Because my parents were not born here.
So, just because some schmuck proclaims they are a "SMIB" doesn't make it so.
And just for clarity, I do NOT consider SMIB a bad thing. I'd actually love to be labeled as one.
I'm all SMIB if that's what you want to call it. I have many generations that were born and raised in St. Mary's. I find that some of my "SMIB" relatives are smarter than the animal nutters that post this shiat for everyone to read.
I pray she's an undocumented alien that found herself living in this area simply by luck and not a SMIB. Call us SMIBs all you want. They're just gealous of our status because they aren't one.
BG, your grandkids could be SMIBs one day if your boy marries a STM county born girl

That is perpetuating a fight? It's called humor. I was making a stupid comment that was perfectly in line with two grown women acting like Jr High School girls and getting all upset over this he said she said stuff.
Unlike what seems like a whole lot of people on here I don't think you're crazy, but it seems you are way too thin skinned and take comments on here way too seriously and that is what perpetuates this stuff. Do yourself a favor and don't take things on here so seriously.
Have members that involved themselves in this FB discussion about Mel's (I already know Hank has, and BG and Socki; yes, know now who you are, too, only because you gave great hints in this thread

I know exactly who you are because in some weird salute to alliance to Wenchy in some thread I've long forgotten, you posted ALL your information on here - name and address - only to delete it several minutes later. But it was too late.
Some friendly advice. You aren't as anonymous as you think you are.

Is that directed to me? I haven't been around here long and haven't seen your warning as I recall, but this is something I already know. It's also a good reminder. I don't think the people here were worried about someone finding out their names - lets hope so anyway. I think it was weird that she had to fly that flag so to speak. There are people who try to dig up #### on people, and there are people like me who don't do any digging. If I notice something, I might be curious or shrug and that's it. I didn't try to take posts and match them up to the comments there. Perhaps it's my work background and the fact that I've been posting on the same "anonymous" forum for over 10 years. There was a time when we didn't really have to worry about people digging, and unfortunately that changed, hence my reluctance

You are right. However, it doesn't take much for some here to make a mountain out of a mole hill with comments I make. I could say have a nice day, and they would find something wrong with it. As far as, knowing who they are, it didn't take me long to figure out who they are by their own words. I didn't spend that much time on it. And I don't make a habit of stalking people on the internet. It is not my fault people put themselves out there. I have been guilty of it myself. Besides, I think it is nice to put a face with a name. Things are so impersonal, anymore, because of social media. Just my two cents.
And I keep forgetting not to get caught up in the drama of it all, but I still do it from time to time.

Hey, jazz! I never cared about being anonymous. If I did, I wouldn't have gone to a meet and greet. I still live at the same address, if you want to come visit me. We could talk all about New Orleans. It would be great!
P.S. I remember now what you are referencing. I never put my address on this forum, I over pinpointed the directions to where I lived in St. Leonard. A joke was made about it that everyone would bring their kids to trick or treat at my house that year.
