What would it take to get you to move out of Maryland?

I'd love to include WV and TN in the options we'd consider but my missus is a Pacific Northwest gal and that's that...
Me too - and wife feels similarly to yours. Mainly, when I retire - I want something LIKE I have here - able to live out away from the city

BUT

With a big city somewhere nearby. It sucks when you need a doctor or a specialist - and there aren't any.

Been dealing with that the whole time I've lived in St. Mary's. Never been a specialist that I've needed, or the wife too for that matter, that was closer than at least 1 1/2 hour drive each way.

There's something to be said for that, redwoods are nice and I don't mind an overcast sky. It's an option if you have enough money to live away from the big cities and pay the crazy taxes (which it would seem maybe you do).

Because that's what it is.

No. That is not what it is.

Illegals are not eligible to apply for those police jobs.

"The bill "provides that an individual who is not a citizen but is legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law is authorized to apply for the position of police officer, subject to all requirements and limitations, other than citizenship, to which other applicants are subject," HB3751 reads, adding that non-U.S. citizens must be able to obtain, carry, purchase, or otherwise possess a firearm under federal law to apply for the job."

I can’t imagine being so triggered by the politics of a state such that it would cause me to want to leave.

I was gone for 20-some years for a career and will leave if/when the mood strikes me to do something different.

This is the problem with you hippy retreads: the political is the personal and the political is the personal. It’s a religion for you freaks. You should move back to the 60s.
I knew you served time in a federal prison. 20 years huh, sooner or later you will reveal why you served time. Anyone out there want to take a crack at guessing why hemi was locked up?

SGI operating: "lessee...I pull on this thin here and I cut a little off there and ..oh crap...he's a bleeder. And here I forgot where I put my soldering iron...."

Might be surprised, my little hometown of 10k people has quite a few specialists there. The problem with having a big city close enough is that the specialists all crowd towards it. I actually take my mom to two of them there still because its less of a hassle than taking her up the road towards DC.
