Which begs the question...

"I'm sorry. I was wrong and I apologize"? Used to be married to a woman who could never say this. And I mean never. Guess she was never wrong. :sarcasm:

That's just plain silly. If the behavior is still continuing, it's not in the past. The particular action in question may be in the past, but other similar actions are still ongoing, therefore it's NOT "from months ago". It is in the right here and now.

That is provided that whatever "ill" that happened months ago pertains to the here and now and the so called new offense.

I totally lack experience in this topic anyway. Most of the people in my life have been there for years, high school friends, friends from a previous job, and disputes happen every so often but it is resolved and everyone moves along so maybe I've been lucky and IMO if you are constantly fighting with a friend about this, that and the other, feeling offended, feeling hurt, feeling frustrated, then it isn't good to be around the person. Some people just don't mesh well.

If you lack experience in this topic as you say, WTF were you talking about then?

If most of the people in your life have been there for years and this type of thing has not happened recently, are you not guilty of "bringing stuff up months later"?

The little experience I've had or seen on the issue

It is the subject of the topic that brings back the recall of experience.

Of course everyone is guilty of "bringing stuff up months later" even "years later," I am when it left a wound or scar.

...why is it so hard to simply say, "I'm sorry. I was wrong and I apologize"?

People have the hardest time doing this. And they'll dance and juke and make up all kinds of stories to rationalize poor behavior, digging themselves deeper and deeper, making themselves look like a bigger ass than they did in the beginning. All this, when a simple, "I'm sorry. I was wrong" would have put the matter to rest.

I will never understand this as long as I live.
I must say I'm sorry more than a few hundred times a day, a bad habit you could say. However, If I think I'm right I will fight it.:yay:
