You have no idea the circumstance. This chick could be a psychotic abuser herself, or trying to paint the guy a heathen for sympathy, to gain allies or just because she is pizzed off or any number of other motives. Just like you have heard stories of abuse, I have heard just as many spouses lie and exaggerate and cry wolf because they are just plain mad. Divorce sucks, but it sucks a thousand times more when one or both parties act like freaks with wild ass accusations.

The point is you are trying to get her all stirred up and over something she has NO CONTROL OVER. She is already worried, hence the request for a lawyer and for the reason she's not longer living with him.
