    Computer certificate programs

The typical path for entry level careers in the computer/IT industry start with CompTIA A+, then Network+. Depending on experience, you may be able to read the first 20 pages of A+ for Dummies to realize this was too easy, then pass the test. Many have also had this mentality and failed...

    Iep

Involvement is key. From my lessons learned, it is also their justification for failure, err me not supervising them, or them not having QA department to make sure "progress" is actually defineable. I had an awesome parent advocate that rocked their world, it forced them to bring out the schools...

CAI (Cold Air Intake) - YES or NO?

Intake upgrades dont give you horsepower. Since there is a larger volume of air coming in, you will see slight (if you can even tell) decrease in time during accelleration. A dyno paints a picture of this.

    Windows 8

Rule #1 before making any major system changes: make and test your backups. A 30gb recovery takes <15minutes on a pair of raid0'd SSDs from a local 7200rpm drive. No hair pulling, no support calls, no researching... no thinking. True bliss. Maytag man is jealous. I've put W8 on a...

    What's this mean?

f12, f8, delete, f2... theres several different ones. It *should* tell you while its posting (power on self test), which takes place before you see the Windows processes. If it does not show you, some tricks would be to press the TAB button (repeatedly) during the POST (may not have to do this)...

    What's this mean?

In the case you have not already checked to make sure there are no usb drives or other devices plugged in to your usb ports, or CD/DVDs in your optical drives, make sure that your BIOS is actually set up to boot from your operating system drive. If those two dont fix it, time to go back to...
