There'll be absolutely no piercing allowed until my girls are much older - and I'm talking ears only with the traditional one hole per ear lobe! On another note, I was recently shopping for new underwear for my 6-year old girls and I still can't believe this, but they had thong underwear in their size! Why I don't know...what little girl needs thong underwear and what kind of a parent would purchase thong underwear for a child that young? My girls still want the kind with the Disney princesses on them. Obviously, I object to them on a moral level as well as for health reasons, but I also don't want my little girl's hand occupied with constantly trying to right the situation in her behind. :cussing:

Why the hell would anyone, adult or child, man or woman, wear thong underwear? Most of us have a hard enough time keeping our briefs or boxers out of there.

Did you see the skit on Saturday Night Live last week with the "thong Diapers"? :roflmao:

Of course they should. Our son was raised in a predominantly female household so he learned that at a young age. But a lot of young men don't - they only know what they see on MTV. Then they see all these girls acting like sluts in real life and what are they supposed to think?

Like it or not, the moral tone of our society is controlled by women. When we relax our standards (like we've done since the NOW babes took over), everything goes to hell in a handbasket. Women are focused on careers now, not on their families like I feel they should be. Women became "sexually free", which led to them being debased in the media.

I, personally, don't like being equal to men. I like being superior, like we used to be.

About the thongs: it has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with not having to pick a wedgie every few minutes. The girls and I all wear them - it's a matter of comfort.

Sorry about that chief.
My 5 year old took jazz & tap dancing through St Mary's county. As a part of the registration you had to answer what kind of music you liked. My wife put down "mother goose". She felt ashamed after seeing all the other little girls liked Britney & Christina. I feel sorry for the parents who are exposing their little ones to that stuff at an early age.

Of course, I don't plan on shielding the girls from the adult world, they will have to know what is out there in order to avoid it. I just want them to be kids for as long as possible, it's a lot more fun than being a grownup.

I wear them and I have absolutely no problem with an adult and/or teenagers wearing them. However, I consider thongs to be adult lingerie not toddler lingerie.

Mostly that but it's also a societal thing. There's a certain virtue we want our young women to have that we don't require from our young men. Even though our mainstream media is trying to tear the image of women apart, portraying them as nothing more than sex toys, traditionalists (like Larry and me) still see young women as future Mommies who will shape the next generation.

But, make no mistake, if my son had come home with a tongue piercing, we'd have ripped it right out of his head for him.

Ya know Vrai, my daughter ask me the samething.. I simply told her that if anyone stands a chance of getting raped who would it be, you or your brother?

I also think it to be rather childish for an adult to be so hung up on pictures of nude women or men for that matter.. It is ridiculous for an adult to do such things..

That's fascinating, because both my parents grew up in households that believed that women were fragile flowers emotionally. They were taught that women were completely paralyzed by their emotions, and needed men to make all the important decisions.

I agree. By the time you get to be a certain age, naked people shouldn't be so fascinating anymore. Some guys are like little kids going, "Tee hee - boobies!" :duh:

Because that's what women wanted them to think. If not for women, men would be farting all over the place, chewing with their mouths open, wearing dirty underwear for days on end (or not wearing underwear at all). There would be no such thing as a spoon or fork.

Women are responsible for civilizing the human race, period. Men didn't think of that stuff themselves. Some woman said, "I don't like that so please stop doing it." And the man said, "Will it get me more sex?" and the woman replied, "Probably." And - voila - civilization was born.
