I was moderately disappointed.
I was hoping that there would be no "Bohemian Rhaposody", and no "We Will Rock You". I have to give Kudos to Taylor for scrapping "We Are the Champions". Those songs are way played out, and I was hoping for something a little different.
Best performance was easily, Elliot. The first couple of seconds when he started singing, it kind of freaked me out, because Mercury sang that song with an lilty high-pitch voice, and Elliot sang in his normal voice - but after you get past that, he scored a hit with that one.
I loved Paris last night. I thought she nailed that one too.
Chris did good, but what the hell was he thinking by picking that song? Simon was right, the song choice was self-indulgent and it was a major disappointment for me.
I thought Ace, Bucky and Catherine did OK - but not anything special. I also thnk they're going to be the bottom 3 tonight, with probably Ace taking a bow.
And for the first time, I was entertained by Pickler. Like I said I didn't want to hear that song, but I really think she did great with it. She didn't make it all country-fried, thank God. It was something new for her, and I think she rocked it.
And did she really tell Simon, "I don't have an accent?"
I know I must have heard that wrong.
