Jewish hatred did not spring from Hitler, it came from the preaching of Catholic priests and Protestant ministers throughout Germany for hundreds of years.

Like the Arc of the Convenant etc?
Is that true history, or something you got from Indiana Jones? Because Indiana Jones does explain why the Nazis wanted the Ark - because it was supposed to protect the army that possessed it and make them strong in battle.

The Nazis were a political party. Made up of predominantly Christians, more than likely, but religion had no bearing on their actions. Hitler didn't say "We do this in the name of God."
Check the QUOTES.. he did EXACTLY THAT!!!

Uh huh.

You could add more to the conversation if you had ever actually read the Bible and were familiar with it. And don't say you have, because you wouldn't ask so many stupid questions and say so many ignorant things if you had.

And I'm glad I'm not a Christian because I can say whatever I want without the likes of you pouncing on me and going, "Uh uh uh! Not very Christian-like of you :nono:"
:nono: WRONG! I have read it ... granted, it's been years since I was active in any sort of bible study, but nevertheless, you are incorrect.

Secondly, having read the bible does NOT validate the existence of God any more than snapping my fingers makes me a magician. I stated my issue early on ... the delivery of the message ... and it would seem as I read on here that I'm not the only one who feels that way, so don't single me out b/c I actually SAID what I thought vs. just stewing on it in some little bar with my buddies. :duh:

And Germans are ---- David Hasselhoff fans!
That's pretty evil :twitch:

So David Hasselhoff fans are responsible for the death of 6 million Jews. I always suspected as much.

Future generations should remember that Adolph Hitler could not have come into power without the support of the Protestant and Catholic churches and the German Christian populace.

WHAT exatly were the Nazis??

"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord." -Hitler, Mein Kampf

"My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter." -Hitler, 1922 speech

In the 1920s, Hitler's German Workers' Party (pre Nazi term) adopted a "Programme" with twenty-five points (the Nazi version of a constitution).

Point number 24. We demand liberty for all religious denominations in the State, so far as they are not a danger to it and do not militate against the morality and moral sense of the German race. The Party, as such, stands for positive Christianity, but does not bind itself in the matter of creed to any particular confession....

Need I go on????

"Oh, the Protestants hate the Catholics
And the Catholics hate the Protestants,
And the Hindus hate the Moslems,
And everybody hates the Jews.

But during National Brotherhood Week,
National Brotherhood Week,
It's National Everyone-Smile-At-One-Another-Hood Week.
Be nice to people who
Are inferior to you.
It's only for a week, so have no fear;
Be grateful that it doesn't last all year!"

-- from Tom Lehrer's "National Brotherhood Week"

Jews have been hated by *somebody* for about as long as they have been on this *PLANET*. You can try and blame "Christians" but you might try throwing in Romans and Greeks and Arabs and Babylonians and Assyrians and Philistines and Egyptians. Give it up. Christians didn't INVENT anti-Semitism.

The thrust of Hitler's anti-Semitism grew as a consequence of Jews who migrated into Germany after the rise of Communism in Russia; who found their way into seats of power at precisely a time when ordinary Germans were destitute, and desperate. The Jews made the perfect scapegoat. to borrow a term from the Old Testament.

Not surprising. I'm not one that believes in complete inerrancy of the Bible; it does have errors, but they're not significant to the message that I believe IS relevant.

Usually when someone wants to fault the Bible, I ask the same question - which error gives you the MOST grief - show me where it occurs. Because they usually can't - they're parroting someone else's "research", whose results align with what they already believed when they came across it.

It's like listening to this guy at work complain about bad officiating at a game he didn't watch - but heard someone ELSE describe.

Why would I want to write another list of biblical contradictions if there is already one written?

Why not? If it's so chock full of contradictions, you should be able to find your own. Do you think you've found THE ONE exhaustive list? Quite honestly, there's a few inconsistencies *I* know of that AREN'T on that list - but they kind of involve Greek grammar and archaeology and genealogy. And a little history. But that's because I've read the thing.

I think she's implying that she has formed an opinion of you based upon others opinions and thereby, no matter what is said, done, or proven, you will always be on her shiyat list. But it doesn't matter, does it? The only opinions that matter should be yours and the ones you love.
