Sorry. I didn't feel like reading 11 pages of the same argument over and over again. So I was either going to 1) mention them first, or 2) summarize again how no religion is 100% perfect.

Mia culpa.

1) They are posting their beliefs on a public forum, so I think it's fair to post my beliefs, which go against theirs, as well.
Fair point. But there's a difference between stating your personal beliefs and saying that your beliefs are the only correct ones, or saying that the rest of us are wrong or misguided for not sharing your beliefs.

2) Because I think society would be much better off without religious dogma. People would be responsible and held accountable for the actions or lack of.
It's not up to you, or me, or anyone else to judge what's good for society. Sure, plenty of people use religion to justify their irresponsibility and lack of accountability. But that's true of any belief system, religious or secular. In my view, blaming Christianity for Eric Rudolph is like blaming the Beatles for Charles Manson.

3) They shouldn't change their beliefs on what I think is good. They should find out what is true and believe that.
In my view, there is no such thing as objective truth when it comes to religious belief. How can anyone conclusively prove or disprove the existence of deity or of life after death?

You haven't explained to me WHO or WHAT is a christian.. and this all started by CC saying something like Christians are sometimes liek the Muslim Extremists.. which people to affront to, I for one agree with her.. AND that was what I was aarguing.. today it's the Muslims (not all, but many) spewing hate, and murder.. 50 years ago it was Christians and Christianity.. and today, when a Christian annonuces this is the ONLY true way.. you need to live your life like this.. everyone else is wrong, there is but one God.. MINE.. it is no less hateful, denegrating or inciting then the antifahda.. they are saying the EXACT same thing.. If you don't believe in OUR God, then you are an infidel.. you don't live the way we think is the right way to live, you're an infidel.. if you don't treat your women like we say you should, you're an infidel.. the only difference is, they are a little more committed to their beliefs then we are..
That whole post was rambling nonsense, each point of which has already been addressed in this thread. Now you're just being argumentative and combative for sport.

No wonder Crabflake thought that was such a brilliant post.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Islam have its roots in Moorish history, around the time of the Crusades? A time when the Moors were at the height of world science, art, and philosophy while the Christians authorities were torturing anyone who didn't agree with them? And weren't the Crusades immediately followed by FOUR Inquisitions lead again by Christian authorities?

That was back in the 11th century - they were all savages back then. What does that have to do with here and now?

In fact, it's annoying when discussing modern Muslim fanatics and their murderous ways, and some tard pipes up with, "But Christians are murderers too!" And you go, "They are?" And Piper says, "Yup - about a thousand years ago!"

Church authorities - there is a difference. You can go to church all your life, go to seminary, read the Bible and still just be religious and not be a Christian. Whether you are a disciple of Jesus, a Christian, is in the attitude of your heart.

And those are instances of ALL Christians declaring war on ALL non-Christians to promote their personal brand of religion, right? That's some Holy War you got going on there, bud.

Neither of which was really about religion, Christian or Muslim, but about power, greed, and control. You want to make it religious to prove your point. Not conceded. Never conceded.

That was pretty juvenile. Much like your lame arguments about what constitutes a Holy War.
No more juvenile than resorting to namecalling to begin with. :duh:

Ya'll can have your debate/discussion/whatever ... it's clear some opinions/views aren't wanted. Guess that old adage "truth hurts" is stinging a bit too much.

Yes, Hitler and Christianity against the Jews.. He used religion in his speeches, as a Christian, just as the Muslim Extremists are doing today.. JUST like CC was trying to point out.. nothing more, nothing less. BUT because it was HER, she has to be wrong.. That's 6 MILLION dead Jewish believers worth of Holy War, can you name one more effective then that?? A religius war inasmuch if they denounced their faith they could live.. with a gun pointed to their heads they were asked to denounce Judaism or die.. they died.

Ireland.. one Christian group insisiting they are better Christians then the others..
