If a frank enemy of the United States had taken over the executive branch of in January 2021, he would not have conducted himself one whit differently than Joe Biden, his administration, and his Democratic enablers in Congress and the media. From his first day in office Biden garishly repealed every border control that President Trump had worked up to stem the tide of illegal immigration. Biden put out the word to friend and foe alike that the United States had open borders.
As he had vowed to do, President Biden opened the borders to illegal aliens on January 20, 2021. It was among his first acts in office and stands as an almost unbelievable act of willful destruction. Indeed, as Andrew McCarthy bluntly put it in an August 2021 NRO column on Biden policy: “The federal government is aiding and abetting illegal immigration.”
Administration officials have both repeatedly lied about what it has done and deflected blame over the years since that day. Instead, the Biden administration has repeatedly assured us, “the border is secure” (video below).
Well, they have had second thoughts — second thoughts prompted by the need to “protect [their] phony baloney jobs” in advance of the presidential election. The powers-that-be in the White House and the Biden reelection campaign thought they could turn the “bipartisan border bill” fiasco to Biden’s benefit. As the sole author of the “emergency” that the bill was allegedly designed to address, Biden was in a uniquely poor position to advance the argument that Republicans are to blame.
Regardless of one’s cynicism about the American electorate’s level of knowledge concerning such matters, no one in his right mind believes the line peddled by Biden: “Every day between now and November, the American people are going to know that the only reason the border is not secure is Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican friends.”
Joe Biden has created the flood of illegal immigration with which we have been inundated. He has assured us that all is well. Most recently, he has blamed Republicans for failing to provide the necessary cover.

Joe Biden’s first day in office he reversed all of the border security measures President Trump had put into place – specifically, the remain in Mexico policy. Now, with massive backlash starting to permeate the American electorate as the consequences of lawlessness are hitting hard, Joe Biden pretends he is not to blame for an unsecured border.
A Referendum on Biden's Corruption of the Legal System
For 18 months I have predicted that the next presidential election will be in large measure a referendum between those who are so pathologically hostile to President Trump that they will tolerate any means to keep him from returning to the White House, and those who are so appalled at the corruption of the legal and political systems by the Democrats that they are prepared to vote for Trump whatever their misgivings about him, to preserve constitutional democracy.
President Biden had already publicly chastised his attorney general, Merrick Garland, for not having indicted Trump earlier. The prosecutors were so incompetent and Trump’s counsel adequately successful in getting some of the cases reviewed by higher courts, that only the most spurious of these hijackings of the legal system for partisan political purposes got off the ground.
Distinguished legal analysts, including Alan Dershowitz and Jonathan Turley, have been almost unanimous that the New York prosecution was nonsense. In their desperation, the Democrats appear to have made no effort to produce a case that could be defended on appeal to a serious court; they placed all their bets on being able in the campaign to describe the former president as “a convicted felon.”
So rotten is the American justice system that such a conviction is frequently a badge of honor; 98 percent of those accused of crimes in federal courts are convicted, 95 percent of those without trial, so monstrously abused is the plea-bargain system and so lopsided are the rules of criminal procedure.
Number of Illegal Aliens From Far-Flung Nations Continues to Surge
A large number of Chinese, Jordanian, Turkish, and Mauritanian illegal aliens were encountered at the southern border in May, underscoring the global nature of the U.S. border crisis created by the policies of President Joe Biden and his administration, including impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
Around 3,500 Chinese illegal aliens, as well as hundreds more from other far-flung countries, were caught by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in May, according to Fox News. Ninety-eight percent were encountered in the San Diego sector, now seen as a "top-border crossing point" after states such as Texas took action to secure the international border as best they could without federal support — and despite lawsuits filed by the Biden DOJ seeking to prevent their security efforts.
“In the San Diego sector, there were over 770 Jordanian, more than 670 Turkish, and over 500 Mauritanian nationals recorded crossing illegally in the sector in May,” Fox News reported.
The number of Chinese illegal aliens encountered in the U.S. has been increasing since 2021, according to Fox News. In all of 2022, 1,970 Chinese illegal aliens were encountered; by 2023, the number had increased to 24,000 encounters, and in 2024, 24,200 have already been encountered so far.
