I'm much more of a dog person. I don't care for cats much at all, but imagine all of the negatives cat hunting would have. For one thing, these "hunters" would be very likely to end up killing house pets by accident; people would be suing left and right. I can already see people shooting people over their pets being shot.

This is just what we need, more bullets flying in the air aiming towards small animals that tend to hang around humans...

Sorry, but I don't view this as hunting. I'm surprised hunters are insulted by it being called "hunting".... :duh:

It's not like anyone would come into your yard and shoot your cat that's sunning itself on the porch. Most cats that have been fixed don't stray far from home.

I'm sure a similiar proximity to homes law would apply, just as with deer hunting.

They are authorizing hunting for the non-family oriented cats. The ones that multiply like rabbits in the wild, and by the way, eat up most of the wild rabbits in the area. These cats are not friendly.

My friend once took in a wild cat. I didn't like that thing much...

I still believe that the hunters would often mistake the lost house cats as wild cats, making for some nasty situations. I know some people who, if you touch their pet, will kill you. Literally. It is somewhat frightening. :twitch:

Oh, I didn't mean cats that are just hanging out in your front yard. I just meant that in the Ranch Estates in Lusby it is so common to have a cat get loose and be found wandering the streets. I was imagining a cat wandering a slight distance from home and ending up getting shot because it was off the owner's property... :frown:

We aren't kidding Dems. We ARE in favor of removing the little disease spreading killing machines from the face of the earth. Whenever I am out squirrel hunting and see a cat, I shoot and kill it. Where I squirrel hunt, there are NO houses for a LONG, LONG way. No way the cats are pets. The property owners are thankful that I am doing it. One got fined a couple years ago for having so many cats running wild on his property. None of them were his, they were all strays that had been dumped on his farm. Property I used to hunt on the shore had packs of wild dogs on it. They had reverted to wolf mentality. I have buddies that have been attacked by them. After one guy got attacked while gutting his deer, we all started shooting them on sight. Some neighboring property owners, who lived on their property, as opposed to the timber companies who owned our property, paid bounties to guys that brought in tails.

Dammm my red ju ju really set you back...I am allergic to cats too but you are a little drastic...get a grip..Just because you have a f....up body dont blame the cats it is your imperfection not the cats.. :killingme

Oddly enough, I too am allergic to cats and animal dander... :roflmao: But if you've always had cats around and have always been allergic, you never really notice anything let alone think something is abnormal or different than anyone else... All and all, the allergies, like you... don't stop us from loving them.

Let me tell you about my dear brother who, knowing that I love cats, lives to tell me about the cats he shoots for fun, the ones sunning themselves on the driveways of the homes they come from. People's hatred of cats runs so deep that if it's declared open season, all bets are off and no cat is safe. I'm all for the theory of "It's coming right for us" school of hunting, but I just can't condone shooting feral cats. It doesn't stop the irresponsibility of people just turning out unspayed or unneutered cats and building up the population again.

Does that mean I get to kill feral children? :justsayin:

My hatred of children does not extend a desire to see them die or kill them. I just prefer they and their bad behavior not be foisted upon me.

I don't like feral children, either.

Hunting feral cats is addressing a symptom, not curing the PROBLEM.....that being the rampant breeding and increasing issue of folks dropping off their "family pet" on the side of the road when they get tired of it.

If states set forth regulations that required all pets to be sterilized (and then offered low-cost or free procedures), and started a program to capture wild cats, sterilize them, and then either adopt them out or even return them to the wild (where they would not be able to multiply), then the entire problem could be greatly reduced in a matter of less than a decade. It's a human problem, not a cat problem.

The best solution would be to legalize the slaying of irresponsible humans.

Just in... its a NO in Wisconsin!!

Good to know :yay:

So you honestly would say you would rather run off the road pulling a horse in a trailer or slam the breaks and put him through the front of the trailer then hit a dog in the road..sorry its a no brainer for me..and I love dogs..

And why would you leave unsigned red wishing I would get hit by a car? Have the balls you cut of your pets and sign it................arse wipe

For someone who helps so many animals, your attitude often seems so callous, why wasn't swerving an option for you? I'll always be a little unsettled with someone who stated they'd be willing to kill a healthy horse just because it was theirs. (long time ago while you were cursing out a vet) You keep on breeding those animals of yours while thousands of them die daily and have no trouble with it. I will no longer sit by and pretend it's OK.
I hope you're the forumite.
