I disagree. I think she's right on the money, most of the time, and that is what pisses Leftists off so much.

I used to like Ann Coulter. Still do, somewhat.

But she makes statements that are so over the top that it dismisses her, makes her irrelevant, and destroys her credibility.

I'd say the same about Bill O'Reilly. He's usually right on the money, but he does the same egotistical stuff Coulter does.

That say the war was illegal? People who say they voted for it before they voted against it? People who call military leaders liars and partisan hacks?

How much of an intellectual effort is supposed to go into a reply to people who see evil when they see George W. Bush and see just some poor misunderstood dictator or psycho when they see Saddam and Usama?

If nothing else, it is true he gassed people. I mean, one of the favorite lines of the left, said with a straight face, is that there no WMD's and Don Rumsfeld gave them to them.

How do we debate choosing leaders when one side thinks that way?

When people get stupid I stop the debate. If it is obvious that all someone's intent is to vilify with baseless facts and derogatory comments, I just ignore it. Thet's why I rarely respond to any of forestool's posts. He'sone of those people.

The location shouldn't matter if they were made by and controlled by the same people. What does it matter if a terrorist has a nuke and moves it across a boarder? He still has it. The intent is there right?

...and real, real patronizing; here goes;

Saddam and his government were the ones in violation and in trouble. It took a long time for them to be in trouble with the UN and for it to be acceptable in the world community for them to be treated, thought of and talked about as bad folks. If they sent weapons/components/scientists/rolls of aluminum foil or firecrackers to another nation the whole process has to start over.

Further, if Usama picks up a nuke in Mosul and moves to Damascus with it, there may be a bit more of a case for action. Saddam, as you may recall, stayed in Iraq. He is no longer a threat to anyone.

If it raised such a ruckus in the US on our political left to go fight when all the i's have been dotted and t's crossed, how in the heck are we supposed to just go after a truck load of parts and manuals in another nation?
