Does anyone know what's going on around the Lexington Park Post Office?

Oh, I agree --- I don't think pot would do that. I was just commenting on Pandora's post that Potts had never had a brush with the law....

Correct. And I was just commenting on the statment that Pandora made in reference to "something else" being there.

Is a pot bust reason for getting kicked off the VFD? Could be why they were there to pick up personal items. Getting busted has got to be stressful :yikes:

Apparently not. If you look at the BDVFD website his name is still listed as a member (at least it was last night).

I don't think that is a reason to be 'fired' from the fire department.....maybe put on probation or something.....

Very sad indeed. Obviously this guy has serious issues. Who the heck carries a knife and a golf club into the fire department anyway?

On a side not I thought Paul was the owner and Jeff was the manager. Oh well.

My question is where in the heck was everyone in the firehouse when this happened?
Did the other members just sit there and watch it all?

Firehouses don't always have someone in them.

That was my question too. Everytime I drive by, there are always lots of people hanging out. And I know that there is someone on duty all the time.

They could have been elsewhere in the house. Didn't Potts try to hide the body in a storage room on the second deck. That could be where the attack took place also and how much noise are you going to make after taking a golf club to the head?

I can't believe there was no one there, It was Sunday although I don't know what time it happended. I always see people and cars there everytime I go by. They are one of the busiest fire stations around.

I heard that his Mom looked into getting Cochran Law Firm to represent him. Expensive. Interesting.

This brings up an interesting question...

If your child were to be in a similar situation, what would you do? Would you let him/her pay for his/her actions or would you hire an expensive attorney to fight tooth and nail?

I was thinking that exact same thing.

I have to tell you, if there were no doubt that my kid had committed the crime, I'd have to let them twist. I'd feel so guilty and terrible about the victim that I couldn't, in good conscience, try to get my kid off or get them a reduced sentence.

If it were obvious that he was guilty, no question in my or anyone’s mind, then why bother. As parents you do your best to raise your children right but they do have minds of their own and make their own choices in life, therefore they should have to pay for their choices if they make the wrong ones.

Now if it were a case of wrongful accusation then yes, I would help support my child.

I would sit back and let the legal system do what needs to be done. I would not be a character witness for my son, I would not hire a lawyer. I would stay completely out of it and let him be punished rightfully. I would still love him because that's just innate, but there is no way I would help him in any way.

I happen to know a child abuser who 'seemed nice' and 'looked like a good dad.' His Mother and entire family chose to support him instead of their innocent 6-year old granddaughter. This is even after a confession and physical evidence. It's amazing what people do to protect their 'babies' even after they prove themselves to be true monsters.

He's 22, I'd let him handle it and be responsible for his actions.
