Bad planning on your part.
Not enough beer in the warehouse to cover your needs. And I'm running out of beer. ;-(
SGI is out of town. Besides...can't get on and off the island now anyway...not unless I feel like running my big rigs in almost 2' deep salt water. And I thought he was a Squared Away Guy, he better get to SGI's house.
Pace yourself.....go ahead and break into the hard stuff if you have to.And I'm running out of beer. ;-(
Good advice. And the tiki bar is still high and dry...barely. ;-)Pace yourself.....go ahead and break into the hard stuff if you have to.
Sure glad that's not your car!..that thing will be scrap after tonight's high tide. That van on the right won't fare much better. This pic from a friend at 9am at the Port. My rig is the gray RV to the left behind that car in the water (not my car). There is a canal between my place and the house you can see beyond it. View attachment 160359
You do know those rogue gators just relocted to your Tiki bar, right?Sure glad that's not your car!..that thing will be scrap after tonight's high tide. That van on the right won't fare much better.
I'm hoping I'm up high enough that I won't get water in the RV. The tongue is pulled into the lot and there is another RV on the lot in front of me. For years there was nobody on that lot and someone just bought it a month ago. I'm kinda stuck. But I've always weathered these flood events ok so far.....this one has me a little worried.Sure glad that's not your car!..that thing will be scrap after tonight's high tide. Yours will be fine..except that I would have the wheel bearings serviced before taking it anywhere in future.I'm hoping I'm up high enough that I won't get water in the RV. That stinks. Nice rig, from what we can see here. At the very least, even if the water doesn't get into the trailer, have the wheels pulled, bearings re-packed, brakes dried and checked.I'm hoping I'm up high enough that I won't get water in the RV. Thanks for the advice. It's a Destination trailer and stays there full time - but I will see about having the wheel bearings done just to keep it in good shape.Yours will be fine..except that I would have the wheel bearings serviced before taking it anywhere in future.
Just got word that the State Police have closed off our island just above the Post Office on mainland side. Breakers coming over 249 on that side of the bridge.

Thank you! It's been my weekend place for years and am getting ready to spend the winter in it. Good thing I didn't put that styrofoam skirting around the bottom yet, it may have ended up like my neighbors you can see in the pic. That stinks. Nice rig, from what we can see here. Ah. Saw the stuff floating, wasn't quite sure what it was, thought maybe an entrance mat that started floating.Thank you!
